Notes from a bottle that was tapped with Coravin a couple of times by now. first time about 3-4 months ago. From memory the impression was pretty much the same now as the first time. The wine is a bit muddy or cloudy so something isn't quite right. Could be the coravin degraded or prematurely advanced to irrecognition this time. Tastes like a burgundy with some age, very confusing. Unfair note so disregard.

Light ethereal with rose hips and strawberry and cherry aromas. Elegant and balanced. Requests food as the tannins are still very present no matter being fine.

Dense Cabernet aromas, touch of mint.
Sleek and elegant but not the same depth as the other vintages. Good fruit but a tad short. The weaker vintages shines through, still very nice.

Very intense aromas with great depth, but atypical from the rest in this vertical. Richer with dark fruit, plums, a touch of brett. Complex with fine tannin and balancing acidity More depth and rich fruit almost full bodied which is explained by the much highter than normal content of Merlot (60% this year) Anyway, intense and hedonistic and at perfect point in time. Drink now and 10 more years.

From a Coravin pour without areation. Voilet and raspberry aromas. Comes across as elegant verging on thin. Very fine tannin and a good bead of acidity which creates a balanced wine. A lot less powerful than I remembered from 9 years ago at the en primeur tasting. A bit underwhelming maybe. Or in the tunnel?

Energy and verve! Pear, citrus zest and tropiical fruit. Wonderful balance, restrained and focused. At the same time powerful but not overwhelming. Will probably deilver at all ages.

Shy nose to start with but this develops nicely in the glass with growing complexity. Cassis, match struck (?), christmas spices. Sleek and elegant but with considerable fruit left, tannins not yet resolved. Medium plus finish and a long balanced finish. The group's no 1 in this flight of 7 vintages.

Vital cracking nose of sweet genrous fruit, tobacco, smoke, leather and cedar. Darker fruit and more "a point" than earlier vintages. Super elegant and near perfect finish. Very harmouius and balanced and a bit richer than most of the other 70-80's vintages.

Melted tannins with good fruit and acidity balancing very nicely.

Lots of cabernet aromas with sweet mature notes, figs, toffee and some brett. Dry with elegance, almost resolved tannin but also a bit thin with fading fruit. Balance and lenght ok but overall on a downhill trajectory.

Leoville las Cases vertical 1961-2009 (March 2023); 12/28/2023-12/31/2023: Shy and surprisingly youthful nose but then it deepens and then fades after a while. Dry but fruit still left. High acidity and melted tannin. Long finish and very impressive given 60 years of age.

Not much of notes.
In a mature phase with golden colour. Lost a bit of the freshness with the acidity in there but not enough to give it spine.
Still very enjoyable but I would drink now rather than wait but perhaps a matter of taste.

Refreshing and good quality. Not too excited about it but clean fresh and balanced. Initially a slight bitterness which blows off after an overnight in bottle. Better day 2.

Flowery Riesling aromas coupled with some reduction and flint indicates this is far from ready.
Very well balanced with somewhat rounded acidity but the edges still need to be rounded off.
Can be drunk now but there’s a lot more to come.

Almost translucent. Young fresh impression with pure fruit of (wild) strawberries and other red fruit. Charming with nice uplift and fine unobtrusive tannin. Elegant and feminine, drinks surprisingly well now at this young phase. Great wine!

Nose 96 Dark fruit, violets, meat and volatile aromas.
Mouth 93 savoury medium to full bodied something in between the two.
Overall 94 great finish and complexity
My only bottle.
Would keep for longer if I had more but not a waste at all to drink now.

Took a while to come around and ended up ok but no more. Not like I remember previous bottles, I suspect this bottle was a bit off as it finished short. Or perhaps it was just a case of too high expectations.

Orange both in colour and aroma. Honey. Very good acidic streak and orange essence. Drank at 8 degrees Celsius so the complexity may not have shown enough. From a 75cl bottle. No rush to drink

No notes and this was a coravined bottle from 2 years ago. Still in a good condition though.
On the leaner side of 2015 Rhône’s I’ve tried. Really likeable and I would not hesitate to buy again. A pristine bottle would keep well for another 5 years or so.

From a Coravin sample from a new bottle.
Sweet tobacco, cassis, hint of figs. Same impressions in the mouth. Fine smooth tannins gives it a good backbone. Great balanced finish.
Starting to come into its better self and a lot better than expected. This drinks very well now but will keep and improve further. Very promising.

Pretty much consistent with my previous note but the oak is downplayed since then, as it should be.

Stands the test of time very well. Vital and at peak, but could keep another 5 years without problem.
Very slight oxidation with fresh fruit and acidity to balance. Served too cold to really form an opinion this time.

Dark dense colour. Packed with multiple aromas from dark fruit, very deep and dense ones. Dark raspberry , blackberry, sweet licorice, floral notes.
Fruit attack bursts in the mouth, middle transforms into new layers but it finishes slightly warm on the first sips but then this impression gives way to a longer more balanced wine. Big structured wine and extremely well balanced. Drinks well now as a wine of this pedigree should do. Great to tick it off my bucket list!

Sampled rather cold which probably enhances the fresh as the sea breeze and full of oyster shells feel. Salty but full och uplifting acidity and fruit . One of the most balanced Fevres I have tried.

From an Enomatic sample. Very Cab S aromatics, almost raw impression with highly perfumed nose and a good dose of oak. From the aromatic intensity one would perhaps thought this was more of a fruit bomb, but not at all. Fine tannin and medium body impression. Very Bordeaux like but I guess that’s what the wine was intended to be. Needs at least another 5 maybe 10 more years in the cellar.

From an Enomatic sample. Fresh, cool, citrusy, white flowers on the nose. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Great balance and nerve. High acidity that needs to get a bit rounder on the edges. Will no doubt benefit from a couple of years to integrate. Would love to revisit.
