At last! I managed to find a Chardonnay as bad as what I make at home.

Very nice. I find myself gravitating more and more towards Ladd’s offerings, as the winemaker expands his portfolio with great results. As an example, this is only Ladd’s second Chardonnay, and it’s hitting all the notes with clarity and balance. Bright, clean and refreshing, it carries nice acidity, pleasing mid-palate ripeness, and lasting finish, beyond other chards I’ve had recently. I had forgotten I had this—stumbling across it in a search for a white to go with a poultry meal. I’m very happy I did, and I only hope there is still some available so I can put some away—it’s a keeper.

Delightful. I find among my favorite chards Williams Selyem Heintz Vineyard and Varner El Camino Vineyard. I like them for their bright, clean and refreshing characteristics. This Ladd chardonnay embodies the good traits of those wines, but up a step, with a wonderful balance: bright, refreshing with mid-ripe fruit, great mouth feel and mid-palate happiness I rarely find.

Superb! I am amazed how this wine came together just in the last year.

Very harsh when first uncorked. Decanted for an two hours, very mineral taste/smell. Opened up beautifully by third hour

Very bright and fruity. Much more open than a traditional cab. Really enjoyed this.

Needs more time in the bottle to mellow. Very full, dark ruby red. I'm going bacl after this in about five - six years and taste the next one

Light--almost watery. Better after open a few days.

A bit young and unintegrated but with complexity and earthiness; tannins currently showing a bitter finish. Vacuum corked for 48 hours, followed once a day. Found it much more consistent start to finish by the end. I think it will be optimal for drinking in about two years.
