when first opening the bottle there was a little fizzines maybe secondary fermentation? after sitting in the glass for 15 mins that all went away.
Lighter bodied than i remember from 2 years ago. very nice though with notes of indian spice, earthiness, black fruits a little funk, pepper. Seemed to indicate Syrah to blimd tasters.

Off dry, pure, juicy, crowd pleaser.

Wow, quite an eye opener for me who generally eschews New World wines. A brilliant come-hither nose, deep ruby with some signs of age On the palate, deep pure cassis, blackberry, tomato leaf, rich and beautiful. Excellent acid balance, silky texture, juicy, harmonious, well integrated tannins. Opened beautifully in the glass! Has some time to go still I reckon.

this was tasted after 3 prestigious bottles of 1982 vintage Bordeaux.
it could not have held up to Calon Segur, Canon and La Lagune.
it was i feel just over the edge in drinkability and would have been nicer a year or more ago.Dark fruit which dissipated quite quickly in the glass leaving mineral and an inkiness which while not unpleasant could not follow the brilliant Canon

certainly not the most expressive Torrette i have ever had. Light with rasperry fruits, a bit of pepper but not much else going on.

drank this after demolishing a very nice Alsace Pinot blanc. It went so well with the chicken tajine i had prepared with green olives, preserved lemons and chick peas and dried apricots.
Quite a lot of plummy fruit and cherries, dried olives, nice acid balance, probablycoild have waited a few more years before drinking. It was bright, energetic and more full bodied than expected

this is a very big wine with a very strong aroma of coffee upon opening followed by the taste of gooseberries, which after 20 mins or so became cassis, tomato leaf, woodland berries etc.

nasty stuff, could not finish a glass. Rough, heavyhanded and maybe even metallic. No fruit or finesse. I had tried it once before and didnt like it. Thought maybe i had a bad bottle, but sadly nota,

A very lovely medium-bodied Gamay with a bit of brett on the nose and big puckery fruit and banana. Surprisingly tannic too which balanced everything out nicely for me. A group of us blind tasted it and few got it right but we all agreed it was a very drinkable. Tasted best with a slight chill

Just drank a bottle of the 2017 and was amazed at how beautiful silky and integrated it is. Went out and bought another bottle. Will drink in a year

What a disappointment! very one note. Pear and maybe some peach depending on who you talked to. So lacking in acidity! No minerality, no tension, creamy texture, just wondering if i waited too long to drink it. Usually love Loire CB with some age so who knows.

brought this to a seafood dinner. It had definitely had become rounder and notes of honey and beeswax, quince and chamomile were accentuated since last I had tasted the 2117 vintage a couple of years ago. The mineral notes were still there but it lacked the acidity that i was anticipating. Very silky though and nicely stood up to the butter on my dover sole!

i love this wine for many reasons, one of which is that it pairs with almost anything. we had it with 3 diverse pastas, one with cime di rapa, one pesto genovese and a Bolognese. It went with all seamlessly. At this stage of its development it was quite silky and soft with a nice salinity herbal notes and an ever developing character rendering it most intriguing. It also paired with grilled asparagus and lemon. Not sure if this vintage has peaked yet.

Having had this vintage for the first time in a Thai restaurant, Anajak, with an excellent meal, i had to get some for the house. I was not disappointed as the layers emerged fast and furious. First citrus, lime lemon and then the funky cheesy flavours, like a ripe Taleggio, then saline and minerally loveliness. Juicy, bright, medium+ acidity, very gourmand with beeswax and tallow candle. yep its one of my faves so far this year!

Not what i was expecting as it came recommended by someone whose taste i respect. Pretty rough and rustic, high acidity, medium body, cranberry pomegranate, the usual fruits, but rather unpleasant for me. Maybe needs more time? maybe needs some fatty foods to pair with it or some cheese with high fat content. I am trying to navigate red Bourgogne and with the exception of 1 producer so far have been left unastounded

Maybe i was expecting too much, but this turns out to be one of the types of Burgundy that I try to avoid. Medium body, high acidity, rough around the edges, typical fruits like cranberry, pomegranate etc. I really couldnt finish my glass. Maybe needed more timez? Not enough going on. I am trying to unlock the mystique but so far have only found one producer that hits that note and this is not it!

drank it at M with blind tasting Thursday group….it was unanimously enjoyed.

I bought this not knowing it was a “natural” wine and purely by the label and a general liking for blaufrankisch. Upon opening it had a little spritz which eventually subsided. It was a little too warm when i opened it but some time in the fridge did this cool wine justice. zwetschgen plums came to mind, skins and pith along with fine savory minerality and earthiness. Very well balanced. Could be a beaujolais substitute

It was just OK, i wonder if I waited too long or had an off bottle. Not as barnyardy as i had hoped after drinking others. Def. to be drunk with food.

I loved this wine when i first bought it but i was curious as to how it would age. I think i waited a bit too too long to drink this bottle.
It coarsened with age and took on very obvious California chardonnay notes which i am not partial to. The brightness was gone and it tasted too much of alcohol. Oh well

Harmonious with good texture and tannins. Some tarriness, bay and cedar

This is a great wine with food, it went so well with grilled scallops. On its own not half bad either, the oak is well integrated and it is rich and velvety while still maintaining a lovely acidity
