The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, plum, mineral, violet and chocolate.

A Fabulous taste profile that exhibits Blackberry Compote, and silky smooth tannins, with no hard edges.

Had last night with a 2007 Maybach Materium. The Maybach, as expected did it’s customary highjacking on the ratings, 100pts, but I could not leave the Dancing Hares out in the cold. 99pts. Unfortunately, my last bottle. 😢

Popped open a bottle 10 minutes ago. Gotta get to the bottom of this wine to accurately describe it, so I'll let decant for 2 hrs before tasting. Will get back with notes later plus rating.
2 Hrs has arrived, poured to 4 guest, with 3 Filets off the pitt, and one 16oz pork chop, with a steens creole demi-glace. Tony, "Wow, that's good", Barbara, "Wow, this is delicious, I'll take 6 bottles, Vic, " this is good, Lisa hadn't tasted yet. Now, I tried with a taste of filet, which was good, but with the pork chop, "Wow", not a big WOW!, but enough of a wow. Now, I can understand some saying that they've gotten palate fatigue, and the alcohol, was too prevalent, which I may have to agree, but by giving this wine more time in the bottle or a long decant should help the process of the alcohol to integrating. Now I'd give it a 91.5. Two years from now 92-93

This wine hasn't seen the light of day or sunshine until now. Has been kept in a temperature controlled environment for over 12 years. Had the 2005 just before this one, and the same cellaring applied, and it was superb, not even at peak yet, maybe needing 2-4 more years of cellar to get there.
Now as for the 2006, I took one sip, and that Cabernet buzz that I remember from so long ago crept into my blood, where I had to check the alcohol content, to find out that it was 15.8%. Wow! couldn't even notice the alcohol being so well integrated into this wine. The nose was fresh sweet black & blueberry rhubarb, with whiffs of leather and chocolate. The palate measured very close to the nose with a saturation of ink & tar, with a slight tart kick that blended sweetly. The finish on this wine was incredible, filling in all the notes above with that sampling of bitter chocolate at the end, with a finish of about 30 minutes. This was a pnp, so I can imagine what this wine would be like if I would've given it about a 3 hour decant or cellar for about 5 more years.

Move over Caymus, you just got outdone! And for less the cost! I'm hoping he doesn't change his recipe, and continue this mix for 2016.

This is going to be one heck of a wine in 3 to 5 years, I'd say 98 in 5 years, as soon as it settles and integrate.

Community Average $171.88, I paid $89 for this. Not worth it, do not pay anything over $20. Less than an every day drinker. Disappointed, not saying other vintages would be as this.

After breezing through taste of some rather nice wines, but they just didn't cut it for this special occasion, (LSU-BAMA GAME) I decided to pop my last 750ml. Extraordinary! You know the rest, 99pts.

In Comparison with BJAMESCLARK: The blend is as said, Scents are deep, rich and concentrated showing a mix of blackberry liquor, blueberry compote, with a mix of licorice & road tar, the palate is inky but medium to a bit full, rich in fruit, with a bit of tartness, which hinders the finish flowing smoothly to the end.
90-92 giving a few years to work that tartness off. BTW, there is no way that this is an 84 or 85 point wine.

7/3/2017 - BJAMESCLARK WROTE: 90 Points
61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot and 3% Malbec.
Decanted.
Scents are deep, rich and concentrated showing a mix of blackberry liquor, blueberry compote, marionberry, plum and boysenberry that bring in tow notes of violets, licorice, graphite, vanilla, oak and fig newton.
The palate is just as big and inky showing a dense, rich fruit profile of blueberry, blackberry, fig and boysenberry all on the reduced side with notes of black licorice, chocolate, vanilla, violet pastilles, graphite and toasty oak that pull through the finish where the ripe tannins and juicy berry acidity linger.
Overal... Solid

WOW! After Drinking a 2008 Stormy Weather Cabernet Sauvignon, during the LSU-BAMA game (You can checkout my tasting notes & score), I just needed something to tide me over, after a nap, I decided to open something that I had not tried. Well, to my surprise, I thought I was drinking on another bottle of Stormy Weather. 95+ Y'all!!!

From Invino Tasting Notes, and I agree, Wish I'd bought more than 2 bottles:
Nose of blackberry, chocolate, toasted cedar and spice. Fruit carries to the palate with complex layers of leather, tobacco and vanilla. Lots of structure that is just coming together in the bottle. The tannins are not shy in this wine and will soften with some age. Plenty of lip smacking astringency. Finish is long and driven by fruit. I would put this in the cellar for a couple of years and enjoy over the next decade. - 94 tw.
