This was an excellent bottle from the first sip to the last. Sadly it was my only one.

This was one of of the better bottles of Chimney Rock I've had lately. Plum, dark cherry, earth and a hint of sage with a medium finish of soft finely grained tannins. Really enjoyed it and wish I had more.

Solid cab franc, bright fruit and very aromatic. Smooth with a light tannic finish.

Loads of fruit. That's the biggest impression I'm left with. On the nose there is light floral, fruit and a hint ofunderlying smoke. Fruit dominates on the palate and goes just over my threshold for "sweetness". I'm torn, it's a solid wine but just a little too fruit forward for me.

This has aromas and flavors of a wine much older. Dried fruits and herbs mingle with leather and tobacco. It's not getting any better, drink now.

Deep ruby color, soft nose of dark fruit with noticeable heat. On the palate, dark fruit with white pepper and finishes with stringent oak. Not the best from Hall especially at this price. It's disjointed and I don't think it'll improve much. If the fruit fades it may become quite harsh.

On the nose, plum and red raspberry continue to the palate with vanilla and cherry cola. Nice long finish and very enjoyable. Turley continues to impress with great wines at a reasonable price point.

Solid wine, nice dark color, herb and tea leaf notes on the nose followed with plum, red berry, medium tannins and tea leaves on the palate. Enjoyable!

Solid dark fruit, but a short finish that doesn't live up to Chimney Rock expectations.

Six months later and this has really improved, fuller bodied with flavors of plum, cherry and black tea. This finish is dry with fine grained tannins and much smoother than the previous tasting. I'm enjoying this and can easily see it holding or improving for a few more years.

A beautiful Provencal style rose with just the right balance of tartness and minerals. My favorite rose of the year so far.

Simple cherry and red fruit with a pleasant oak flavor, easy to drink.
Red
Tastes of heavy cedar, dried herbs and minimal fruit with big grainy tannins. Not the best, especially for the price.
Red
Let it breathe for over 2 hours but it never came around. Dried berries, earth and herbs were overshadowed by a bitter tannic finish. Disappointed and not worth the high price.

Still showing fresh, vibrant dark fruit with a hint of mocha on the finish. Lovely.

I would not have guessed this was a cab, it's big, jammy and smokey with caramel undertones/aromas. It has a manufactured tasted but I can see this as a "crowd pleaser." After the initial burst of flavors, it fades out quick. You could do worse for $11

Cherry, leather, spice box dominate with subtle undertones of tobacco and herb. Drinking well now and should be fantastic in a few years.

Accessible right after opening, but does improve with a little air time. Lovely and light and not too powerful, very easy drinking. Overall fantastic, wish I had more.

Thin with a strong tannic finish. I was hoping for a bit more body, but this was lacking. Hoping it was just this bottle.

Minimal fruit, very dry, the first half of a sip is decent. But the finish tastes like you are chewing on grape stems, bitter and astringent.

Inky black with dark fruit and smoked game meat on the nose. Follows with blackberry, dried herbs and game meat on the palate. Excellent and becomes more harmonious with 1 hr of air time. Paired wonderfully with a smoked brisket.

This is a mess, and I hope it's limited to this particular bottle. It tasted of chemicals on the first sip and while that blew off, it was very bitter and unpalatable.

Deep opaque color, herb, game meat and menthol on the nose. Blackberry, plum, with oak and a light tannic finish.

Decent fruit but the mid to finish was too bitter for my tastes.

Was quite oaky and lacking fruit after opening, but that changed about 2 hours in. Much bigger, smoother, tons of fruit, spice and pepper and the oak was more integrated. Very nice, but let it breathe.

This was probably the best merlot I've had, full flavored, soft with cherries and a hint of pomegranate to give it some character.
