intense bitter notes that ruined it for me. Maybe a bad bottle but thing seemed off. Just bitter…

Lots of darker fruit than previous years. Reminds me of the alexander valley bottles. So much so I had to go back and double check what I pulled. Nose and pallet not as expressive with cherry, orange other bright fruits.

Second bottle same result. Fresh steely citrus and bright at first but there is a bitterness on the backend that ruins it for me.

Fantastic. Tart cherries and raspberries with a salty minerality. Just enough of tannin to add structure in the background. Lots to like and I typically stay away from mourved.

Nice wine, a fuller/richer style (relative to other Sandler PN) with dark fruit. Smooth but not my ideal PN.

Unexciting. A bit fuller than your typical OR pinot. Could be mistaken for a more restrained cali PN. Fair at the discounted price.

Big peach nose. Wonderful SB, crisp with the peach also making an appearance when consumed. There is also structure and depth.

On the fuller side for a Sandler pinot. Held up well over two days. Dark fruit with a hint of spice.

Fantastic but really tight. Plum and raspberries with a tanic dark finish with layers of oak. Needs time to integrate. Best on day two right now.

Lots of peach on the nose with an umami note of salami (in a good way). Stone fruit with pleasant acidity. Very enjoyable wine.

light with strawberry and floral notes. Felt like there was residual CO2 but I don't think that was the case. The wine danced on the tongue. Fantastic.

First sip had the srh cola and fruit that I enjoy but that faded quickly. It was a nice drink but much richer and darker than I typically enjoy. Glad I only have one.

Initially bright with a nice combination of stone fruit and citrus. Left in the fridge overnight and it mellowed substantially and became much richer. Both days were good but I preferred day one.

A bit funky with barnyard that stuck around. But a pleasant lighter tart wine. Held up over two days. Enjoyable and a good value.

Maybe an off bottle but I found this astringent. Nice minerality lurking but overall not as good as I hoped.

Lots of acidity on day one (maybe even too much) that integrated beautifully on day two. I should have decanted at the start.

I have not had many SB beyond 2-3 years. I wouldn't recognize it as SB. There is a richer (maybe oxidized) taste with very little acidity. It opened up over a couple of hours. Starting to think Austria is not my thing. Very similar to austrian rieslings which I also dislike over brighter counterparts.

I did not enjoy this second bottle as much. Drank over three days. Day one was fine and my score represents day one but it did not hold up. Too much apple juice concentrate for me that just got worse with each day.

Thin and not interesting on day one. Day two and three was a completely different wine. Nice balance of dark and red fruit. Toes the line between a big and thin wine - sits right in the middle. Nice acidity. Hold remainder.

Took a couple of hours to open up. No nose. Dark and peppery but not a lot there. Improved over the night but never made it to a spot I enjoyed.

First sandler wine I have not enjoyed. Bitter and dark with acidic undertones. Left half a bottle to try on day two and no change.

Dark cherries and plum with a bitter tannin backbone. Subtle acid that dances on the tongue almost as if it’s carbonated but it’s completely still. Lots of flavor and no jammy notes - everything I look for in a zin. Should wait to drink the remaining bottles.

Delicious. Light/medium body. Juicy but not cloying. Lots here to enjoy. It was great right upon opening but held up very well the next day
