Excellent, nuanced, complex. A wonderful complement to foie gras paté with cherries on brioche followed by barramundi in broth (good with flat iron steak as well). Deep red fruit, earth, zippy acidity, subtle tannins...

Nice Anderson Valley typicity: bright ruby in color, a slightly herbaceous nose with floral and red fruit notes and a delightful palate of tart cherry and Booneville woods. A more masculine than feminine Pinot Noir.

Disappointingly insipid Anderson Valley Pinot. Too sweet, like cherry cough syrup, no sense of terroir. No discernible tannin structure. When am I going to learn my Last Bottle lesson? You need to know the specific wine, not just the area or vintage before succumbing to the hyperbole.
