Beautiful color and remarkably clear, no sediment. On the nose, crushed berries and floral. Medium bouquet. Extremely balanced, but I’m going to drink my holding over this next year as I sense the acidity might be on the decline. The fruit is long lasting and very fresh. Raspberries and blueberries, currants lasting for minutes.

Good color, light herbaceous and plum on the nose, and dark fruit taste that didn’t last long. Great wine, but didn’t knock me over at the price.

No faults, but definitely past its prime drinking window. The wine was gold like honey, but perfectly clear. Sediment all clumped nicely together. On the nose, it was lightly floral and pleasant, but not strong enough to describe well. It had lost its freshness of taste over the years lost in my cellar, but it still had hints of apricot. The taste did not persist long.

The wine is balanced, has a vanilla bouquet, not strong. Not a long lasting taste, but cherry and vanilla. Hey, at a restaurant it’s only $29. Love it. I tried it primary because I know the area, but I’ve never seen this. I’d drink again.

The Mexican wines I’ve been drinking are interesting and surprising. I’m at Ranch La Puerta and going through their wine list with an open yogi mind. They are much better when served at the appropriate temperature, which they don’t do. This wine isn’t entirely balanced and is on the acidic side. I expect to taste dark plum, but I honestly don’t. Dark berries, chocolate, tobacco, and, at the end, raspberry. All with an unusual grainy feel. It has a lasting, pleasant taste.

Bouquet of red fruits, raspberry. Just a little acidic. Should probably drink up what I have.

Herbaceous and well balanced. I feel like you’re tasting the grassy highlands of Mendoza. If not for the spice I associate with Malbec, I’d compare to a nice, everyday right bank Bordeaux.

Slightly acidic, but otherwise not far off from being well balanced. Herbaceous as expected both in bouquet and initial taste. Subtle dark current.
