Nicely balanced. Soft yellow color. Elegant light toast. Bright but also some complexity in the mix of flavors. This edition is a youngster: 50/50 Pinot Noir, Chardonnay; vintages 2016 & 2017. Could certainly use more bottle time to really strut.

Somewhat forward oak on opening - not the norm for Eyrie. Air and short decant helped, but still seemed a bit disjointed. Not bad at all, but the woody finish was not expected.

Very attractive. Mostly red fruit; some decent depth with the clarity and classic weight of the vintage. Opened 90 minutes ahead with quick double-decant. No upside, but pretty now. 90-91.

Excellent. Bright, assertive, but with very good lemon-orchard fruit. Mouth-watering acidity. Good finish. 89-90

As before (2022), a lovely wine. Some good tension adds zing to ample, delicious fruit. Very good. No rush on this one.

Really nice Meursault. Lemon highlights with good pear notes underneath. Acidity provides a nice frame to an otherwise generous and ripe fruit profile. Mild oak adds complexity, but this all about generosity and clean lines. 90-91

Very nice. Much better than average Pinot Grigio… more weight and balance while maintaining the acidity found in northern Italian whites.

Initial decant of one hour. Smooth, silky, deep dark fruit, but reticent nose. Tannins submerged beneath the fruit. After 2+ hours red cherry fruit began to emerge, though shyly. This simply needs time to come forward, but the elements are there. Try again in 1-2 years? 89-90 now, but likely to improve.

This has evolved very nicely and is In a great place. Needed 30 minutes of air. Initially some grapefruit with strong acidity at the finish. Orchard fruit added as it opens. Piquant finish makes this a great food wine - fresh and lively. More than one might expect from a Haute Côtes wine, except when it’s a superb producer!

Very fine. Open and inviting, has beautiful red fruit with soft and sweet tannins. Seems to be peaking, but not declining. Lovely, classic balance.

Delicious Barbera - vibrant but deep, complex cherry and earthy notes. A good spine, but soft tannins. The fruit and length and supporting acidity are superb.

Needed air time to open. Serious Chardonnay. More acid & brightness than one would expect at this point (7+ years in). Develops more fruit and roundness with 45 minutes in the glass.

Still young-ish. Opened 2 hours ahead with 60-minute decant. Steadily added riper cherry flavor to the darker fruit base. A bit of a stony edge (not unpleasant). Good length and finish. 92-93

Juicy, fresh red cherries with good structure and length. Elegant drinking, in perfect form. Opened 60 minutes with 45-minute decant. (Was good with minimal air… the decant only brought out more)

Delicious Bourgogne. Nice acidity and brightness which adds weight and some complexity in the glass 30+ minutes in. Much more interest than a typical Bourgogne.

Still a big, potent wine from 2014. Mix of black & red fruit. Saturates the palate. With 30 minute decant the dark cherry flavors start to emerge. Tannins are present, but reasonably moderated by the substantial fruit. Definitely needs more time. Vieilles Vignes character. 90+

Delicious, bright Muscadet. Not as much depth or complexity as the Fiacre Crus Communeaux, but not far behind.

Double decanted with slow-ox after 30 minutes in the decanter. Medium weight (light for Amarone), which is actually a style I like in Amarone; it doesn’t overwhelm with a raisiny, over-ripeness. Good fruit, big tannins submerged beneath. Decent balance. Didn’t experience any decline in this bottle over the evening. 90-91

If anything this has improved in the year since last tasted. I bit more fragrance and nuance with the same level of precision and zip on the long finish. A firm, still young wine. 93-94

Couldn’t pick this out as a Pinot Gris. Has the initial complexity and fruit of a well crafted Chardonnay, but the pithiness and textural qualities of something else entirely. Doesn’t have the middle palate of a Chardonnay… the fragrant flowers and back-acidity take over. Has a very crisp character at the end. Perfumes increase as it warms. Remarkable stuff; something to experience. Well done, Jason!

40-minute decant. We just love this type of Meursault. Lovely nose of vanilla oak and lemon citrus with underlying orchard fruit. Very generous on the palate with very nice length. Great balance; nice weight. While the 1er Crus are more complex, this just beautiful. At nearly 9 years of age it still has more to offer… though it won’t get any better, I don’t think.

A bit of noticeable oak on a fairly weighty wine. After 30-40 minutes, air and warmth improve the balance and elevate the citrus flavors and acid. Enjoyable with dinner.

Dark cherry on the nose. Dark, clear color. Some vanilla on the nose, and the tannins are present but relatively soft and nicely supportive. Really nicely balanced; no drying quality at all. In a very good place, but no rush… the balance will see it through — may have more to offer yet. 92-93

Pronounced smokiness initially, but this integrated nicely over 2 hours drinking. A rich, classically styled white Burgundy. Less sharpness than one might expect at this age from a Chassagne. However, has a long, lingering finish. Big, round and generous fruit. Absolutely delicious and thought provoking. 93+?

Toasty, tasty brioche, but fresh and vibrant fruit and acid. Citrus profile with a touch of stone fruit. Nice mousse. Good length. Surprising weight given that it’s a brut nature; to my taste the zero dosage is perfectly applied to balance the toast.

Just a touch of vanilla oak that adds to the character of what is a very elegant Bourgogne. Lemon citrus supported by lovely acidity. More like a declassified Puligny in all respects. Very attractive now…has evolved nicely since the last bottle we had 4 months ago. 90++

Simply delicious. Deep, red color, though a nice clear tone. Very complex fruit with notes of leather and beautiful red fruit flavors. Oak is still present, but very fine grained and doesn’t detract at all. Long finish. This is in an excellent place, but will last for many years. A treat to enjoy now. Decanted for two hours, then consumed over an additional two hours. 94++

Beautiful! Elegant mousse with lots of brightness and zest. Still has a ways to go, but at this point the aromas are both inviting and enveloping… citrus and orchard notes with just a light touch of leesy complexity. The balance and refreshing vibrancy are spot on.

Classy Pinot. Layered red fruit but has a weightless quality to it that is quite Burgundian— in the best way. Long, lively finish. Acid balance says it has more time and brings you back for more. Decanted 60 minutes plus 30 minute slow-ox.

Nice balance in this wine. Pretty, medium-red fruit flavors. Very reserved aromas. On the light, pretty side of the spectrum, but good reserves of fruit and should develop further with 5-7++ years more aging. Needs time, but good potential. 92-93+
