Very nice wine, with complex nose of stone fruits and citrus, it is nutty, mineral. Deep gold colour, rich palate, nice finish. Prefer the Chardonnay over their Pinots.

Garnet hue, dry leaves, tobacco leaf, smoky, forest floor, blackberry, black cherry, nutmeg, cinnamon, cedar, green bell pepper. Drink well now.

Apricot, peach, yellow apple, honey, lemon, grassy. Medium acidity, medium spicy finish. Fat and lot of heat, not very balance to me.

Nose is mild with lemon/orange zest, peach, honey, apricot, floral, vanilla. The palate is much more powerful than the nose, rich and hot. This wine really need a lot of air to open, it is more pronounced on the second day. I think it might be in the shutdown period. I will keep the rest bottles for at least 10 years.

Deep gold colour with oxidative noses of butter cream, dried apricot, ginger, honey and roasted almond, which lead me to an old Hermitage blanc. The palate is very rich, full body with high acidity, sweet ripe fruits, nuts, waxy and a prolonged finish. A wine style that is very unique and hard to forget. Drink well now and I don't think further ageing is necessary.

Late release from the winery direct. A beautiful light ruby colour with a little garnet hue. Open with cinnamon, clove, forest floor, plum candy, red plum, pomegranate and red tart cherry. It drinks very well now. The vibrant acidity lifting the intensity of fruits on the palate, together with silky tannin, delivered a very long pleasant finish. It also developed some floral, perfume, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus in the glass over two and a half hour. The 1985 may be a great vintage. I feel this wine still have many years to go with its intensity of fruits and nice acid-tannin structure.

Served blind. It shows much aged notes of leather, fur, tobacco leaves, forest floor. It also has lots of brett. The fruit is starting to fade with some raspberry, strawberry but not fresh ones. I think it might be an early 90s Cdp.

PnP, blackcherry, blackberry, leather, rubber, black pepper, lavender with hint of red fruits. It is ripe and has quite much alcohol (14.5%). It shows classic Bandol gaminess and wildness but in an elegant way. Would like to visit after 8-10 years

Deep gold colour with notes of ripe peach, mango, passionfruit, honeydew melon, wet stones, developed very well with intense aromas of almond, walnut, honey, vanilla, cinnamon. Rich and oily texture, full body with medium plus acidity. Nice length finish although not as rich and intense as on the nose and palate. It also has some sherry-like bitterness on the finish. At its peak now and will stay there for a while. Delicious.

very ripe and rich in flavour, Pocky chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, prune, jaminess, coffee, mocca, graphite. It also has some herbal characters. Quite young with a big structure. Definitely need 2 hrs decant at least. I feel it might need 5 more years to reach its peak.

Very deep purple. Nose is quite modern, ripe and polished with black fruits, violet, black berry jam, sweet spices, liquorice, cinnamon and olive. Very tannic on the palate and did not smooth with time in glass. It is really hard to judge it now but I believe it needs more than ten years to be integrated and balanced.

Still young with notes of black cherries, blackcurrant, black plums, toast, cedar and hints of leather. After few minutes in the glass, notes became riper black fruits. Tannin just start to integrate into the wine. Finish is not very strong, a little diluted. I should have waited for at least 3 years.

Coravined five days ago, remember that it was red cherries, plums and some greenness there. It was medium - body and medium - finish. Quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, I retasted it today, it goes bad quickly, become very sour and oxidized. I remember even a cru Beaujolais stay for a week after I coravined.

Absolutely singing now, very attractive with primarily red plums, cranberries, red cherries, rose, aloe vera, and savoury noses of wood spices, leather and mushrooms. The colour is towards a bit garnet. Medium body with barely noticed tannin and a hint of sweetness, red berries. Even though 2008 is not a strong vintage, this wine is just wonderful. I would recommend to start drinking it now.

Fresh and bright notes of red cherry, strawberry. Cabernet Franc contribute the greenness in a good way, I found herbs and tobacco leaf. Medium body with smooth tannin and finish with freshly crushed mixed red fruits. I’m happy to pop it young. Very enjoyable

Probably the best Riesling in BC. It opens a bit tight with mineral notes, pears, lemon, and then the citrus noses came out, mandarin, honey and a hint of botrytis. Medium finish with strong mandarin and wet stone. Very enjoyable.

Pop and pour, a classic example of Cote Rotie with black fruits and distinctive peppery notes. It is earthy, meaty, and filled with some dried herbs. We left a half of bottle in the decanter for about 2 hours, and the peppers started to integrate with the meat and herbs. The fruits became more reddish like raspberry. In the mouth, it is medium+ body with well-integrated tannin. The finish is long and pleasant. I got crushed black peppers and lead lingering all through my mouth. Still quite young, it needs at least five more years to develop to another stage.

Tones of red fruits, raspberry, red and black cherries, strawberry and cinnamon, clove, dry leaves, smoky. Medium body with smooth long finish. This wine beats a 13 Rousseau Lavaut St Jacques in both complexity and price. A very good Grand Cru. I think 2013 is drinking perfect now through the next 10 years.

Very weird nose, blue and purple kind of feel. I've never had this kind of experience, maybe unripe berry jam with lots of mint, cinnamon, and other unknown spiciness. On the palate, it finally shows typical flavours of red berries, earthiness. Good structure and medium finish but I just cannot enjoy the nose.

A little closed on day 1 with notes of rose petal, red cherry, tar and dry leaves. Easily stand in the glass for more than two and a half hour with just enough soft and integrated tannin to balance the medium body. Left half bottle in the cellar and become a real beauty on day 2 with more expressive notes of red fruits (red cherry, raspberry, strawberry), rose petals, sweet spice, liquorice. I also really like its bright ruby color, and interestingly, when I swirled it, I can almost feel the silky texture. I probably will wait for 5 years for another bottle.

Very expressive, red fruits, violet accompany with earthiness, dry leaves. Started to develop more earthy and savoury notes. Good depth, tannin is well-integrated. A very good OR Pinot that is very accessible now but would be more savoury for another 3-5 years.

Open will tons of aromas associated with greenness, tobacco leaves, dry bay leaves, bell pepper, stems, cinnamon, fruit is hiding. There was a period that the pure red fruits (raspberry, red cherries) dominated , and then the greenness came back but in a mild way, marrying with the fruitiness. On the palate, medium tannin and body with dry bay leaves, raspberry and pepper. This wine could certainly improve with ages. Slow ox is better than decant in a decanter or a glass, more red fruit comes out with slow ox. 刚开瓶时就是五香豆味

Medium gold in colour with orange zest, citrus, peach, banana, mango (but not ripe) and prominent notes of vanilla and cream. There is a hint of greenness of fresh green leaves. It is crispy but I can also get some toasty taste that indicate the use of oak. It is quite enjoyable and more towards new world style.

The alcohol level is quite high for the region (14.8%). It is not as fruity as I expect, dominated by mocha and oak flavours (vanilla, toasty). On the palate, tannin is not well-integrated and a bit unripe, together with the high alcohol, make the wine not very balance to me. I think it will become more balance with ages.

Many red fruits, earthiness and quite spicy, very burgundy-like nose. On the palate, it is a bit sweet ripe cherry, and hot finish but has a solid structure there. Already show some development in colour and nose with lots of deposits. I have to admit that this is a very well-made NZ Pinot but for $100, I could get more from a premier cru burgundy.

Fruit-forward with cherries and raspberry, dry bay leaf and bell pepper suggest a typical Chinon. It also has a mild dairy notes. On the palate, it is medium body with moderate tannin. A very nice summer red. Would like to try it with more age.

Sweet style with 67g/L sugar. Display some beautiful notes of gasoline, honey, ginger, tropical fruits, grapefruit and ripe yellow peach. But it is much sweeter than I think, even out of balance for me. Grapy and taste like a light body ice wine. I feel it just doesn't have enough minerality and acidity there. Medium finish. My wife likes it.

Mild aroma of white flowers and peach at the beginning followed by strong honey wax notes and finish with some tropical fruits (e.g. mango) flavor. It has some body and intensity on palate but finish is not long and very spicy.

Coravined for a glass and initially I thought it was too ripe for my taste and tannin was rather austere. Revisited 3 days later, it improved with those nice mild oak notes of cedar, smoke, vanilla. Still dominated by black fruits, chewy tannin. Have a nice concentration and depth on both nose and palate. I feel the concentration comes from the old vine since I didn't get the same level on Clos du Chene Vert. Overall, it's not a typical Chinon style, and IMO, a bit over-extracted. Well-developed but I may want to revisit it 2-3 years later to see if there will be any more improvement.

Open with bell pepper, herbs, tobacco leaf, prune, smoke, color is quite deep with a bit purple rim. After about 30 mins, turning towards more burgundy like raspberry and cherry notes. Drank along with a 06 Clos de la Dioterie, although not offer as much depth as Clos de la Dioterie, certainly a more approachable and easygoing one. Definitely can develop over time but I enjoy the young one, too.
