First of the Littorai’s from 2013. Beautiful Cali Pinot; slightly dense; aromatic with a medium long finish. The vintage on release was totally aromatic but this bottle seems to have lost some of it.

Nevertheless, glad to have aged this for 9yrs… drinking really well now.

PnP for Christmas 2019. After an hr, this wine began to sing. Not a GC, not a mind-blowing wine but for a village, from a good Domaine. it shows some awesomeness. Delicate fruit in balance with age, this felt good!

This is a big wine. Dark, very brooding; reminds me of big Napa cabs than Syrah. Not a winemaking style I particularly care for but to know that this is from British Columbia makes me take notice. Would have liked a more restrained style of winemaking but this is a powerhouse!

Bit of must at the start but then settles into the usual ripe fruit, big wine that this is. Can't really find fault but not spectacular. Maybe some bottle age will make it more balanced.

Bought a lot of 6 from K&L for 19.99. I should have guessed, this is Windgap liquidating stock I guess. Something is off with the wine. I love Pax and his style, this is weird. 5 more going away as gifts :(

The ageing of this wine is phenomenal. The reduction early on when bottled is gone, it's dense but crisp, amazing aromatics... this is how I pictured this wine to be 6yrs on and it does not disappoint. Keeping the rest for at least another 5yrs.

At a Meursault wine dinner of the village Lieu Diet's. Fantastic on the nose, touch of reduction but it blows away in 5 mins, balance and texture. This could last a few more years for the final integration to come together.

This was horrible. At a comparative tasting of Les Clos, this was pretty poor quality. Serves me right for picking up something in NYC from a unknown domain.

PnP at Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino. Final bottle on the list. There are more misses than hits in pursuit of great pinot and this is a hit. Silky, feminine, drinks like a 20yr old than a 7yr old but no complaints. One of the most complete pinot drinking experiences with complexity, texture, length and a satisfying finish. Some hits of over usage of wood but it’s a complete wine.
