On day 1 it was a bit raw and disjointed. Still a pleasant drink of medium weight, red fruit and admirable length.

After vacuum corking 2 days it was much improved. Harmonious aromatics, cedar, leather with still a hint of red cherry. Really very nice.

Left to breathe for 2 hours but only just opening up. Rich fruit - prunes and black cherries, with oak, spice and umami. Balanced and silky with long finish. Very satisfying but will improve for years yet.

Dark inky purple in the glass. Intense red currant and black currants with graphite, camphor and licorice. Hints of forest floor and herbs. Despite the intensity did not feel too heavy bodied. High alcohol gave a little heat and with fine tannins a great finish.

Deep purple colour. Interesting perfumed nose of raspberries and red cherries. Taste of bayberry, raspberry juice and blueberries with high acidity and decent length. Not is the same league as Argentinian Malbec but more interesting than most of the French Malbec’s I have tried.

Nose of red fruit violets and pencil lead. Soft plums and red currants with graphite and a hint of juniper. Light tannins but still has decent length. Good acid balance. This is quite delicious.
Drinkable now, but will reward a couple more years in the bottle.

Wonderful intensity and complexity. From opening and decanting (5 hours) to the end of drinking (another 90 mins) it changed in character from more fruity (red cherries, plums) to more woody and earthy to hints of mushrooms and peppers. Through all it maintained an intensity of taste and a minutes long finish. Certainly ready to drink now but you could save it for your grandchildren if you wanted.

Slightly closed but opened up after a couple of hours. Strawberry and cherry nose. Taste is tertiary: tobacco and forest floor with just a hint of red cherry. Tannins nicely balanced. Good acidity. Very pleasant but lacks wow factor.

Light ruby red, bricking at the edge. Nose of violets, oak and leather, reminiscent of an old claret. Slightly flat mouthfeel with oak, graphite and forest floor and just a hint of cherry skins. Great length with fine tannins and a hint of saltiness but also a slight oiliness. Overall still a very palatable wine at the end of its drinking window.

Lovely mature Tempranillo. Still has some black cherry fruit along with oak, briars, leather and a hint of vanilla in the long dry finish. Medium/full bodied. Nice balance with sufficient acidity and fine tannins. Drinks like a wine of 3 times the price.

I had worried that the wine was too old so was delighted to find it still fresh and in its prime. Lovely clear garnet - reminiscent of a Barolo. Classic Cab Franc nose, with red fruits and violets which follow through to the taste. Very fine tannins that are almost unnoticed until the lingering finish. Elegant and very fine.

This was delicious. Creamy and smooth with masses of rich dark fruit: black cherries, plums, prunes even hints of peach and blueberries. As the wine developed oak and leather came through. This is a full bodied, voluptuous wine. Soft tannins and great length.

Just delivered and probably too young, but after reading the reviews I decided to sneak an early bottle.
Soft floral nose with hint of oak and vanilla. On the palate a slightly dusty minerality with tropical fruit and touch of citrus. Medium bodied, bone dry and with great length. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
