Butterscotch with a subdued aged white Burgundy profile. This bottle was beginning its decline and it didn't have the acidity, depth, or energy of a previous bottle. Out of 3 bottles consumed, 2 have been fine (disappointments) and the third was up there with 90s Leflaive.

Day 1: subdued red fruits. Elegant, but not a ton of depth. No note taken. Returned 1/2 bottle to the refrigerator. 90+
Day 5: Wow. This had quite a bit of depth. Red fruits and whole cluster notes. Clean. Sit on these until 2026+. 93+

Day 1: A little young for enjoyment.
Day 4: some added depth I didn't see before. Light-mid body juicy red/dark fruits with some whole cluster notes. Clean. I think these will do better with age than I expected thought last time. Upside over the mid-term. 92+

Magnum. 100% Pinot Blanc. On first pour this was good. Better after 60+ minutes open in bottle. No note taken. Moderate aromas/moderate+ flavors of orchard fruits and some citrus. Hint of tannins that add complexity. Enjoyable now with some mid-term upside. Extra Brut with 4.5 g/l. 93+

Stylistically, this is right between Le Cotet and Colin Inspiree - citrus with hints of bread. Enjoyable now, especially with an hour of air in bottle. Front label margin: 211022.

Day 1: opened following the Ohligsberg. I preferred the Geierslay, as it was drier and showed a bit of tension. Recorked 1/2 bottle and returned to refrigerator.
Day 5: decanted. Moderate+ nose of petrol and ripe orchard fruits, almost tropical. Showed better than day 1, moderate+ concentrated flavors of tropical fruits and petrol, with a bit more citrus and tension than day 1. That being said, this has quite a bit of fruit and almost has a hint of sweetness.

Moderate+ aromas of ripe plums and moist earth. Moderate+ complex flavors of ripe-fresh plum, red and dark fruits, earthy, with a light spice on a smooth finish. Moderate+ complexity/long finish. Enjoyable now. After 60 minutes in the decanter, this added complexity and became fresher. Mid-long term upside. 92+.

Immediately upon removing the cork ripe citrus and tropical fruits could be smelled 3 feet away. Decanted. Over 90 minutes, the aromas faded in the decanter. Moderate+ concentrated flavors of lemon, baking spice, followed by a hint of bread and a searing acidity on a long mouth coating finish. Moderate+ complexity. Some enjoyment now, but this is young. Lots of structure. Upside over the mid to long-term. 93+.

Similar to the 2019, but this is showing much younger with less complexity at this point in time. A decant seemed to add a bit of depth. Enjoyable, but this is young and really needs a couple more years.

Enjoyable on the first pour. With a one hour decant the tannins began to integrate. Moderate aromas of red fruits and roses. Moderate flavors of fresh red fruits, hint of earth, and very fresh with light-moderate lingering tannins which were additive. Very enjoyable now. Maybe some mid term upside.

No funk in this bottle (California purchase), as detected by other reviewers. Moderate aromas of petrol and orchard fruits. Moderate+ aromas apple, pear, and petrol with some light sweetness. After 40 minutes in the decanter, a bright acidic citrus began to emerge. A very enjoyable wine that went down fast. But, the sweetness gives this a clear tilt.

Alluring moderate+ aromas of toasted brioche and cherry. On first pour, lean and dry. After an hour, opening up to moderate+ flavors of red fruits and a bit of yeasty bread. Some elegance. Noticeably dry. Medium body. Still young, but enjoyable now with upside 2026+. 92+.

Ready on the first pour, but best after an hour+ of air. Moderate aromas of apricot and buttered pastry. Moderate+ fresh flavors of apricot, citrus, and the faintest hints of bread. Long lingering finish. Medium+ body. Moderate+ complexity. In the same vein as the 2019, but more precise. Very enjoyable now, but I expect this will continue to evolve with age and improve.

On first pour, the quality was obvious. Best after an hour+. Moderate+ aromas of jasmine/honeysuckle that turns into honey with air. Moderate flavors of tangerine and almond, with the occasional hint of yeasty bread on the finish. Elegant. Moderate+ complexity. Enjoyable now with upside 2026+. 93+

This was a bit disjointed for the first 45 minutes, then it started to come together. Bread dough dominates with some citrus to keep this fresh. Elegant. Hoping some bottle age brings this together. 2027+.

Initially, light funky natty notes that blew off and revealed a wound up and linear Champagne. Over an hour, this loosened up a bit. Light aromas of salty biscuit, apples, and nuts. Moderate flavors of apples with hints of salty biscuit dough. Dry. Long-lingering finish. Moderate complexity. Some elegance. Medium body. Moderate+ acidity. I think this needs a couple more years to come together. 92+

Day 1: decanted half the bottle. Moderate+ aromas of fresh orchard fruit, flowers and a hint of reduction. Similar ripe, yet fresh flavors.
Medium+ suave body. Enjoyable now with 30+ minute decant, but clearly some structure for aging over the mid term (2028+). Recorked and returned to the refrigerator.
Day 5: more depth and balance. Great QPR. 92+.

Initially, a lightly saline nose. Within 15 minutes this opened up to light-moderate aromas of apples and hint of nutty richness. Moderate flavors of apple, pear, and a hint of wheat cracker. Good energy. Dry. Moderate complexity. Medium body. A bit linear, but it seems this will add some depth with age. Enjoyable now, but worth waiting a couple more years to see where this goes.

Day 1: Initially, bread dough and red fruits. After one hour, moderate aromas of toffee and cherry with moderate+ flavors of toffee, cherry, and a hint of bread dough that faded to the background with air. Medium+ body. Enjoyable now with air or over the mid term.
Day 7: Toffee and cherry. Depth was a step up, vs day 1. No bread dough. Clearly an indicator that this will do well with some age. 92+

Day 1: good, but a little out of balance. Recorked half the bottle and returned to the refrigerator.
Day 3: Big step up from day 1. More depth and the nuttiness had a savory richness. I wouldn't open these until 2028+. 92+.

Initially, this wine is tastes similar to the NV Extra Brut blend. But, with a couple hours of air the step up in quality becomes obvious. Lots of energy, citrus, brioche, and a light nuttiness. Really enjoyable with air, but best with several more years of bottle age (2028+). 93+

No note taken. Ready on the first pour with tart read fruits. Decanted and consumed over 40 minutes, during which this added depth and balance. Ready on the first pour. Decided to decant, which may have helped a bit. Light aromas of citrus. Moderate fresh and fruit forward flavors of yellow apple. After an hour, this was more lemon and orange, with yellow apple in the background. Lightly suave mouthfeel. Moderate finish/complexity. Enjoyable now, maybe with some upside over the midterm.

I did not expect this to be so good. Decanted and consumed over two hours. Light-moderate aromas of lemon. Moderate flavors of pear and lemon, framed by quite a bit of acid, with a hint of pastry on a moderate length finish that thins out. Medium body. Velvety. Young, but enjoyable now. This added a bit of depth over two hours. Upside over 3-7 years. 92+

Day 1: Fresh. Orchard fruit and citrus. Velvety. Lightest spritz that blew off in a couple minutes. Enjoyable now, but no rush. Left 1/3 bottle in the fridge without a cork.
Day 4: as good or better than day 1.

Surprised by all the lower scores. 3rd time I've had this in 12 months, both in Europe and the U.S. Consistent performance. This time consumed over two hours. Initially, aromas of oyster shell that evolved into light-moderate aromas of lemon and orange oil. After two hours this added quite a bit of depth with moderate+ flavors of lemon, mandarin, and marzipan; flavors of wheat toast faded into the background with time. Lots of energy. Medium body. Moderate+ complexity/finish. Definitely some upside, but quite enjoyable now with a couple hours of air.

Day 1: On the first pour, piercing acidity, lemon, beeswax, and obviously young. Decanted and partially consumed over two hours, but only opened up a bit. Obviously high quality, but with limited enjoyment now. Wait. Revisit in 2030. Recorked 1/3 bottle.
Day 3: did not budge -- same profile. Young. 94+ for what it will be.

Showing more bread dough this time around that hid the Meunier berry flavors. After two hours open in bottle, the bread dough began to fade a bit. I won't open another bottle until 2027, hoping the bread dough disappears. January 2021 disgorgement at 2g./L. 100% Meunier.
