Beautiful mature wine form an excellent vintage. The addition of small amounts of Cabernets gives this wine a lovely bordeaux like structure with sweet American fruit adding a lovely mouthfeel

Initialy oily and dense with few florals however going back to a little left in the glass towards the end of our meal there were the expected white fruit f;orals that we'd expected - maybe young

Lovely developed autolysis characters. Broad and enjoyable (Bolli like) perhaps lacking quite the focus for great champagne. Maybe a vintage char?

Hugely rich and harmonious showing very good winemaking. Drinking well but absolutely no hurry. Very Italian spectrum fruit lacking the typical French Cab structure

Needed a couple of hours decanting to stabilise then opens up to rich full bodied red fruit with touches of undergrowth. Drinking well now but no rush

Just opened - big explosive red fruit spectrum flavours but finishes very firm. I'm not sure how this will evolve as the fruit seem to be all there now and beginnning to showing signs of drying out. Was a little concerned going into this as a recent tasting of 98 CNDPs showed many with premature aging. This is thankfully devoid of this.

Fantastic wine. Restrained rosepetal with a backbone of structured elegance. Refined and dry

Structured with strong minerality - almost hard. Clean and certainly not oxidised on any way. Look forward to seeing what happens

Suprisingly good given the Ducru history. No sign of Bret.
