Agree with the other tasters. It was okay, but certainly not worth the price. Most $45 Failla Pinots blow this one out of the water.

Cherry followed by vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. The tannins were refined and silky and had the texture of a Syrah.

Descent for the price. Super fruit forward with unbalanced tannins on the backend. Drink with food!

We just opened this up and had it with grilled lamb chops. The nose is classic Syrah with lots of fruit. The color is a beautiful deep garnet. It carries a great fruit/tannin balance which makes it a great food wine- especially with the charred chops.

Delicate taste and tannins with good minerality. Good with lighter food.

A bit young the first day; better the second day. Larner makes better wines than this.

Such a good wine and a great, cheaper alternative to Montebello. The wine is well balanced and is even better with a wonderful steak!

We drank this 2014 Turley in August 2019 and it is still holding up fairly well. Like others have said, there is the initial licorice/anise taste, followed by typical good Turley fruit followed by some balanced pepper/tannins.

A great Syrah with unique menthol-like undertones that pairs very well with herb crusted lamb. The wine is beautifully crafted with long legs which lingers as you drink it. It is dark and inky.

May have been past its prime. It still tasted good with good fruit and a bit of acid.

Good fruit- could have benefited from a bit more tanin. Went well with my beef short ribs.

This was really good! We drank this in March 2019 and it really held up well. With a deep purple color, it had a great balance of fruit, pepper, and tannins. The wine matched brilliantly with food and is a great example of what Pinot should taste like. It finishes strong with great legs. The fact that a 2008 Pinot held up this well after 11 years illustrates the complexity and tannic structure not commonly encountered in a Pinot Noir.

Lots of berries but lacking tonic structure. Not terribly interesting.

We opened a bottle on 12/31/2018. It paired well with lamb and Brussels sprouts with bacon. The menthol hints that were more prominent when we first tasted the wine at the winery about eight years ago have matured nicely and are now subtle. Great color and structure.
