Apple and white peach in the nose. Med + acidity. Med body. Long finish, good balance. Nice wine

Cloudy. More white than orange. Complex nose with a hint of funk. Very high acidity.
Very natural in style, almost verging on cider-like, but very good nonetheless.

In a really good place right now. Really really good. It seems to have filled out and gained some balance between the sweetness and the brilliant acidity.
The wine seems be held together by a thin but intense line of acidity that runs all the way through it like a cold, sharp, lime flavoured skewer.
The perfect match for a spicy panang curry.

Enticing, surprisingly generous Pinot. Better than a much more expensive Beaune 1er Cru drunk previously.
Needed air to open up.

Good, but I was expecting more somehow.
Complexity from a bit of bottle age but I was hoping for a little more depth and finesse based on others’ reviews and tasting other cuvées from the domaine.
Still a very competent Cote du Rhone.
Hid its 15% well enough but struggled to match the beef cheeks for intensity.

Mesmerising.
Buttered popcorn on the nose. Rich and voluptuous on the palate, balanced by a pronounced seam of acidity. The oak still adds some structure but it is now well integrated nearly 8 years on. A long finish, with generous fruit (peach and pomelo) and a slight hint of pleasing bitterness.
Absolutely ready to drink but with lots of potential still.
One of the best wines I’ve had for a while.

One of my new favourites. Bang on the money for pretty, fruity, light, refreshing, and delicious bojo.

Even better than the last one.
The sort of nose you could simply smell for hours. Full, well balanced, complex and long.
Really good

The last bottle, drunk last year was disappointing. A little unremarkable, and a little flat. I would have given it 88pts.
This time the wine really shone. Aromatic, dense but fluid, lovely acidity on the very long finish. One of those bottles you don't want to end. Glad I have more.

I thought this was drinking beautifully.
Short decant. Beautiful light robe. Intense nose, typical aromas of rose, orange peel and blood orange juice, and something darker more tar-like. Will buy again.

All about acidity on opening. Much better after a short time in a decanter.

I really liked this. Sour cherry dominated, but with lots more going on. Acidity is quite pronounced. Great with food.
Reminded me of a good village burgundy, or a Bierzo.

Still amazingly youthful. Could be kept longer to complete the metamorphosis from silky bojo to something more velvety burgundy-like.

I thought this was brilliant.
Beautifully balanced right now, despite the passing years it is still incredibly fresh, with plenty of white stone fruit, a touch lemon rind, and an equally pronounced minerality with plenty of struck match and melted butter thrown in for good measure.
Top marks for intensity with a long finish that takes you all the way through the range of tastes and smells listed above.

Can be drunk now or kept a while longer.

Very ripe and broad. There is a hint of freshness that is drowned out by the very strong alcohol (14.5%).
I like Enate's reds but this wasn't for me.

Plenty to like but definitely on the austere side, even after decanting.

Final and best bottle. Still drinking beautifully.
The second last bottle had started to taste over mature but this one was singing. Everything you would expect from a top quality 12 year old bottle of carignan from Boutenac.

The first decent bottle of cheap burgundy I've had so far. Some depth and complexity to the abundant fruit, but with freshness and balance.
Unbelievable value from Carrefour at €8.99. I wish I'd bought more.

Astonishingly long finish, pushing a whole minute.
Great intensity, and abundance of dark bramble, but with enough acidity from early picking to stop it tasting jammy.
A real crowd pleaser with a lovely label.
Highly recommended.

I meant to keep these in the cellar but they're too good.
Great concentration that totally belies their price. And they'll only get better.

This is a quality wine but there was an overwhelming burnt rubber / smoke flavour I couldn't get along with.
Decanting helped.
Try again in 6 months.

In a fantastic place right now.
Everything feels in place. Meadow, white flowers, and hay on the nose. And richness and intensity on the palate but still medium bodied, crystalline acidity balancing the buttery gras. Long saline finish.
I loved it.

Bottle #6 of 12.
The first one to please and it did so in spades. Previously too tarry and hard to be really enjoyable.
This has finally opened up, showing huge complexity and intensity but still light on its feet. Dry savoury fruit, some earth, medium bodied. Outstanding value on current showing.

The best bottle yet. Proves the aging potential of Roussillon wines. Enticing nose and great complexity, some aging notes but still fresh and full of savoury fruit

Fanstastic stuff. Beautifully balanced, intense but never heavy. A surefire hit.

Better than the previous bottles which had felt a little closed. This was more open, more typically CDR, but already with an abundance in tertiary flavours that hadn't shown in previous tastings at the start of the year. I don't think it will last to see a full decade.

Decanted for about an hour.
Beautiful nose of cassis, violets, sandalwood. Full and dark. Initial glass was rather tannic, the fruit still hidden.
Opened up over the course of the evening, showing more generous cherry and cassis fruit, with a lovely subtle showing of menthol and graphite keeping things fresh.
It felt like this would be showing better with a longer decant or more time in bottle.

Fantastic wine. Beautiful pale greyish colour. Intense nose and flavour, very mineral / stony, with a bit of meadow and white stone fruit. Very well judged acidity make this a very versatile wine, with or without food.

Much too tight and austere straight out the bottle. A good decant helped to bring out the northern Rhône meaty fruit character hiding beneath the tannin.
Probably needs another couple of years.

Enchanting nose. A little residual CO2 bubbling on the glass. Good intensity and nicely balanced. Very approachable, with good complexity, fully integrated tannins, and a lingering finish. Much better than its lowly appelation. Perfect with roast chicken dinner.

Tasted like this was at its absolute best. Fully resolved but with plenty of primary fruit character.
If you have some I'd recommend drinking up.
It definitely exceeded my expectations.

Clear ruby, surprisingly light colour. Intense spicy nose, full of allspice, crushed clove, and nutmeg, some oak and just a hint of black fruit. The palate is much more supple and gentle than the nose suggests, rich and velvety, with just a dusting of fine tannins.
This is an excellent wine, that manages to be both engaging and inviting.

Beautiful perfume, fully resolved and everything nicely in balance. Intense floral nose, subtle red fruit and blackberry, a hint of smoke and something more savory like banana bread.
Secondary aromas clearly showing but it remains fresh and agile, with a dusting of fine tannin on the end. Plenty of well judged food friendly acidity. Drinking very nicely. Reasonable value.

Drinking very well. Once opened up it displayed a rich and perfumed nose, Floral and fruity with some light aging. Nicely balanced medium to full palate, fully integrated tanins. Sorry to have finished my last bottle.

Cracking light to medium bodied red. Light but not thin. Lots of flavoursome layers of strawberry giving way to something more herbal (Bay leaf? Cedar?) on a savoury lightly tannic finish. Good acidity to stand up to all kinds of food. Excellent value for money
