Beautiful wine! Makes up for the flawed bottle I opened a few weeks ago which was light and bright but lacking any character - strange considering this bottle. Last one was not corked either. This is luscious and has powerful red fruit on the palate with a rich mouth feel and hints of baking spice in the nose.

Really drinking well. Super enjoyable and strong - Syrah tannin as opposed to oak. Wish I had more. This is a strong masculine syrah that has matured nicely. Yum!

Drinking at peak - Really lovely Rutherford bench California Cabernet. The tannins are soft but holding it all together. Luscious secondary flavors, particularly sous bois.

Really delicate but clean and lovely for a wine so old! Very enjoyable. Bright and floral. Aeration brought out the tannin that has kept this alive and kicking.

This is fine and can be aged longer. Disagree with prior comment on bottle not showing well. A bit more of a rustic expression of cote-rôtie without perhaps the vibrancy you get when there's some viognier in there. This is 100% syrah terroir blond.

A little tight with nice cedar notes. Drinking nicely now. A bit lighter than other vintages but lovely and well received.

Soft and brambly blueberry, blackberry. Not much backbone - drink now. Extremely smooth easy drinking zin, no alcohol heat.

Decanted and consumed over close to 3 hours. Took 90 minutes to open properly. Elegant syrah with strong cherry and raisin notes. No olive or bacon. Big soft tannins mid-palate only show themselves at 2 hours. You really must decant and be patient to experience this sexy elegant syrah. No bricking on the rim, still youthful in color. Still life left here if you let it open!

Silly smooth syrah. Strong but not tannic. Almost no nose. A bit tight. Needs decanting to properly enjoy.

Black fruit, eucalyptus, cacao, a bit alcohol forward. Decant 30-60 min. Not very tannic at this point. Drink now.

Drinking beautifully. A rich emulsion of opacity like a Petrus. Characteristics of raisin but not over-ripe raisin. Lovely!

Soft tannins, perfume notes of violet. After an hour open the nose was of mocha coffee grounds. Perhaps a little past it's peak without the force and power of a younger Saint-Joseph but a pleasure to consume
