It is very bitter. I think some time in the cellar may help this. I will report back on the next bottle.

Wow...the is big on Day 1. It's Day 2 when it is absolutely my favorite Zin.
White - Off-dry

I don't drink whites too often anymore, but this was a nice reminder of why they can be good. I'll have to get some more of this one.

Nice fruity, fizzy Rose that we drank down on New Year's Eve. I'm glad I have another bottle in the cellar.
White - Sweet/Dessert

Um...this kinda sucked. Syrupy mess that was just too much ugh to quantify here. I've had sweet wines before, but this was something I have never encountered before. Maybe it's meant to be like that? There were 4 of us tasting it. It went down the drain.

This wine had a very strong berry smell upon opening (raspberry with a touch of blueberry). First taste was actually pretty smooth for a Zin. I wouldn't call this a fruit bomb, not that I'm sophisticated enough to know what a fruit bomb is. I just know it's not as "big" tasting as some of the other Zin's I have tasted...and I really do love Zinfandel's. Get it if you have a chance...

I very much liked the cab. It had a blueberry smell right out of the bottle from the glass. The taste was smooth, with some tannins on the way down. Overall a very pleasing, drinkable wine.

No rating. This was absolute cack. I drank a glass after opening. It took me an hour. I kept hoping it would get better. I even corked it, and put it in the fridge to see if some sort of fridge fairy would fix it while it was in there. It didn't. I poured it down the drain.

I've not had this varietal before, and I had no idea of what to expect. I brought it up from the cellar, and although cool, I placed it in the fridge for 20 minutes while I made up a fruit, cheese, and bread plate. Opened it up, and smelled it from the bottle...hmmm...nothing overtly noticeable to me. Poured in a glass, and sniffed again...nada. It tasted semi-dry...a little sweet when first in the mouth and then the acid hit as it went further back. I drank the whole bottle over a couple of days. It was decent for me alone hanging out on my deck looking at the pond, and nibbling on finger foods. I wouldn't go out of my way to search for this particular wine again. But neither would I refuse it if I was offered it somewhere for free ; )

After opening the bottle it had a huge alcohol smell after which came the smell of grape. I drank a little, and wasn't really sure what to think about it. So, I put it in a decanter for an hour. At that point, it still had an alcohol smell which didn't really do anything for me. <shrugs> I'm a newbie so I can't put into words what was going on, I just know I really didn't like this wine. On a side note, although I only drank perhaps 2 glasses at most over 2 hours, this wine gave me a wicked wine headache the next day...which is something I normally don't get adter so little consumption. YMMV

2 for 2 on my first foray into NY wines. Opened this up, and first smell was plums. I let it sit while I cooked steaks, but then jumped right in. It's not bold, but it was smooth. I really liked the tast, and finish. newbie report YMMV

I live in NY state, and have never tasted any of their wine. I figured it was time I did. Bought this, and popped it open that day. I liked this chardonnay. It smelled like apples right off the bat. It has a little bit of sweetness, but not much. I found it smooth and very drinkable. Newbie impressions...YMMV

flat smell...almost vinegar, but not. Tasted horrible. I'm a newbie, but I think it was bad. It went down the drain.
