Damn this was good again. Rating based on village pedigree. Totally balanced, juicy but mature, this was in its early peak and oh so good. One of the great under appreciated former winemakers of Burgundy.

This tasted like a Jura (Tissot). But really fanned out nicely and dropped the initial musty note that was there. Nice tropical fruit tones, tastes warm! Finishes nicely.

Needed about 45 minutes to reach its peak. Recently had the 2001 Araujo estate and this was not far behind it. Black/Blue fruit napa thumbprint but great complex herbal elements, nice clean finish. Really enjoyed it!

Really solid for a village, and 04. Was in a great spot where the tough as nails Gouges elements have really softened up, opened up nicely in the glass though, very enjoyable.

This smoked! Acquired for a fair price. Great expressive nose, lighter color than expected, tropical fruits, with good lemon curdiness and strong acidic presence. Loved it at this stage.

Really great. Other reviewers are right - something vaguely Burgundian about this Pomerol.. really subtle and earthy but still beautiful balance emerged after about 30-1hr of air. Kept improving throughout the night. Yummy

Great again, if not even slightly more put together than the last one tasted. Great presence, great depth and minerality, lovely secondary notes of lemon curd coming through, persistent and detailed finish.

Developed really nicely over the course of a few hours. Great balance and bit more advanced than other 2005s but not in a bad way. A little cork-must on the nose that dissipated a bit and is not very present on the palate but presents itself on the nose that muddles the bouquet a little bit, but no issue on the palate. Nicely done from Joblot. Great producer.

On its slight decline for sure, but I do have a big soft spot for Burgundy in this period, especially village Burgundy.

I really like this producer, the wine was ex-domaine imported earlier this year so it had very good provenance. Took a minute for the funky animalia to settle down a bit, but it revealed a still semi-lively red fruit core, with a bit of grip still left and a nice pleasant finish. Great longevity from this village Fixin - I dug it. For the mature Burg lovers.

92 for this easily, improved steadily over the course of 1.5 hours of air, peaked at 1.5 hours. Great showing, balance of still nice black fruits in the forefront, but with some good earthiness, smoke, and tobacco framing the notes. Some lightening at the rim, but it could go another 5y I think. Good+ to very good value.

A lovely entry-level grower from LB. Blanc de Blanc characteristics shine through, with steely lemon, limestone-focused minerality, a touch nutty from the lees, with laser acidity!

Great great QPR - excellent vintage, very well made, balanced, nice elements of stone fruit and some citrus undertones, with a bit of curdiness from age, but still lifted and great presence. This could drink well for another few years with no issue. At the price I paid very good.

In a pretty peak zone for a Beaujolias - nice secondary and tertiary elements blended in with primary cherry, although a touch over-tart, was quite pleasant and improved with air, for an overall much more intriguing experience than the average Beaujolias.

Liked a lot for a 2016 - took an hour to open up in the decanter, but really nice stone fruit, minerality, and orchard fruit. Nice finish, likely can improve a bit based on the time to open up.
