Funky, juicy, cloudy. Very, very, natural, but delicious all the same.

Rich and full - identifiably Meursault, without much extra interest and complexity. Maybe another year or two to be at its peak?

Big, dense, and quite complex - lots of dark berries but also some aniseed and leather. Pleased to have sat on this for a few years.

Big and brawny, and still showing lots of oak. Quite good now, but maybe more complexity to come after a couple extra years in the cellar.

In half bottle, this is delicious now for a polished, fruit forward claret. A few more years will allow the real complexity to arrive, but right now there's good blueberry and blackcurrant fruit and a lovely line of cedar.

Bought from Lay & Wheeler for less than £10, this is amazing mature wine. Exactly poised between lingering fruit and mature leathery flavours - tannins have melded and softened but there's still a hint of oak. Such amazing value.

Precise, mineral, mouthfilling and delicious. But still young - needs to unfurl more to reach its potential. Great stuff though.

Classy, restrained, really opened up with a couple of hours in a decanter. Initially, fairly muted notes of lime and seaspray but over time some rich, nutty notes appeared.

Impressive mature rioja - balanced between blackcurrant and leather. Tons of acidity and still some pronounced velvety tannins suggest there's still time to improve.

Loads of sour cherry fruit, good acidity, cloves and spice turning to forest floor, but still plenty of time left. Tip top.

A core of precise cassis, but hung around that, all kinds of tertiary wonderfulness. Medium rare steak, leather, ground coffee, as well as great retained acidity and melting tannins.

Intense, complex wine - really crystalline on the nose, but richer in the palate, with a honeyed, preserved lemon finish. On a par with premier cry white Burgundy. Lots of acidity and feels like it could open up further with time, but delicious now.

Smoky cherries and lots of savoury notes, this is already exceptional for the price, and will improve. Woof.

Drank my first bottle of this a year ago and it was still too oak forward. Now things have balanced out and it's delicious - smooth, full red fruits and a hint of spice with melting tannins. Might leave the final bottle a few more years to see what tertiary flavours develop, but it drinks well right now.

In half bottle, with 2 hour decant, this is really excellent. Hints of redcurrant on the nose, but fruit is in background to some cedar and lots of tertiary flavours - mushrooms and wet soil. Feels like those flavours could develop even more, but drinking so well now.
