Exuberant black fruit and hints of dark chocolate. Delicious now with forward fruits but probably will mature with more elegance in a few more years. Will wait another 5 years to taste the remaining 2 bottles.

Another disappointment from these flash sale sites. I guess there is a reason why some wines end up being auctioned off like cattle destined for slaughterhouses. Barely good enough for cooking.

Almost ready to drink right after opening. Tannin has softened compared to the last bottle drunk almost a year ago. Classic merlot dominated bouquets and finish. It will certainly improve in the years to come.

Very savory and musty…. Smells of wet hay in a barn. It was hard to decipher the first day and the flavor profile seemed to be more integrated after a couple days in the bottle. Definitely a wine that needs pairing with fatty food. Will try another in 6 months.

It is rather young with potentials. Subdued bouquet of tobacco and leather with hints of lilac. It opened up after 30 minutes in a glass and smoothed out the tannins. It should taste better in another five years.

This wine was almost PnP. After 10 minutes in a glass, the classic bouquets of fine leather and tobacco began to emanate. As the night went on, hints of dried cherries and chocolate emerged and the finish lengthened. It was a perfect pairing with duck confit. I will need to get another case soon.

Very subdued after opening and didn’t seem to improve in bouquet after 90 minutes of decanting. Though it didn’t impress in nose it surely knocked my socks off in elegance. Very impressive. I am glad I have one more bottle left to savor in a few years

Had this wine with a nicely grilled steak and mushrooms over a span of two hours. It smelled of dried leather initially and gradually showed the fruit and pencil shavings. It was a wonderful wine.
