This bottle was purchased at Mumm's in Reims in 2007 but it's been properly cellared since then. PnP; persistent, small bubbles, with color leaning to yellow, a vibrant tone to the color; a toasty, brioche, full aroma with "mature" notes; the taste is fully dry and full flavored, nothing holding back; almonds and nuts not herbs; good finish; still fresh and vibrant, it gave me plenty to contemplate over it.

Magnum format. Yellow color with very fruity bouquet and flavor, and with very nice effervescence. Good balance with a moderate finish. Very similar to the 750 ml bottle tasted in 2012.

Brought to wine group dinner at Le Provencal. Light-bodied champagne, works well as an aperitif. When I popped the cork at the restaurant, there was no pop. Thought I had brought a dead soldier. But alas this was in good shape and tasted great. Especially liked that it was a single-voneyard. grand cru blanc de blancs

Wine Spectator's Grand Tour, Washington DC 2012 (Ronald Reagan Building): had the latest release at a wine tasting, primarily 03 and a blend of other years, classic Mumm taste but not as much nougat as in prior years, steely nose that didn't give anything away, good balance, would make an excellent aperitif

Purchased about 5 years ago but still doing very well. Cork came out easily without much fanfare which initially worried me. Pouring, bubbles but not foamy/frothy. Very crisp nose, apple note. Nice yellow color. Very nice on the old tastebuds--medium sized bubbles, sort of a classic champagne, and extraordinarily easy to drink up--which three of us did quickly. Drank with appetizers, bread, cheese, hummus.

Same impressions as last year, with little change despite another year of bottle age. Light styled BdB. Very elegant and clean. Lemon and melon, not terribly yeasty. Unique mouthfeel, both unctuous and crisp. Very fine mousse.

Wine Watch Best of 2009 Tasting (Ft. Lauderdale, FL): Full body with significantly lower carbonation that most other Champagne which takes down the perceived level of acidity and crispness and amplifies thr rich fruit and creaminess of this wine.

Angular, strong lemon flavor; I'm concerned about the wide bottle variation in this Champagne despite trying to replicate the experience drinking the wine at the same temperature and similar conditions.

Really great expression of champagne. Crisp apple and some lemon. Creamy texture in the mouth. Wonderfull freshness. I really like this style. Definitely a go to bottle of champagne. Vintage champagne that can not be called vintage due to aging time frame, so the fruit really shine with this wine.

I can't think of a wine I've had in a long time that had to be just "SO" to be excellent. This is a sparkling that is meant to be drunk at slightly cooler than cellar temperature and otherwise will punish you. We had a bottle in the frig and cracked it open too cold...decent, underwhelming...the fruit was there, but muted. I let it sit for a couple of hours and it opened up with the fruit and yeast. Green apples, lime, hints of lemon and vanilla...complex, balanced and yummy. I give it a lower score only because it is tempermental.

Poached pear, golden delicious apple, spice, hazelnut, brioche, and floral notes on the nose. Palate shows good mineral and acid attack on entry and into midpalate, but then smoothes out considerably into a soft medium finish. There is a pleasant gentle sweetness on the nose. Wine changed dramatically as it opened up and warmed up. Never heavy and always graceful, even as flavors richened. Started out like Chablis, finished like Mersault.

After several good, but not stunning bottles of this wine over the last year, I finally got the right equation how to enjoy this wine. First, we served it about half an hour after taking it out of the cellar...no refrigeration...using narrow flutes that seemed to intensify the nose (complex chardonnay and yeast combination). Second, we enjoyed it with some outstanding soft cheeses that complimented the subtlety of the champagne. Wisps of green apples and pears were a part of the complex flavors. Excellent balance, tiny bubbles. Get it right or you will be disappointed!

Good mousse and medium size bubbles with notes of citrus zest and little yeast. Crisp flavors of granny smith apples and lime with a dash of sweetness. It's like drinking a sparkling chablis. Was a crowd favorite. A good champagne.

Crisp and clean, lots of yeast on the nose. Very fruity on the palate with lots of apple and tree fruits coming through with yeasty bread in the background. Very enjoyable sparkler.

Palish in colour suggesting could do with a bit more ageing. Hadn't quite taken on the nutty feel I expected athough creamy with excellent mouthfeel and fairly long in the palate. Good acid and structure not too dis-similar to salon in that it has that almost slight metallic feel at this age. Not sure I enjoyed it although it is without question a high quality wine just missing a dash of brilliance.

Pretty light gold color. Minimal bubbles. The nose is very reserved offering just hints of yeast and citrus fruits. In the mouth this is very nice giving clean, fresh fruit with medium intensity. Great mouthfeel. Decent length. A good rather than great sparkler.

This went better with food than as a stand alone sparkler...too harsh to be enjoyed by itself. But the structure that made it difficult by itself made it good food wine. Apples and limes.

Drunk too cold this is a disappointing champagne because the fruit vanishes. Closer to room temperature than refrigerator temperature works...slightly cooler than cellar temperature is probably perfect. As it opened up, the complexity increased. More structure than fruit, but that helped it stand up to shrimp stew and pepper fillet mignon, which is impressive. Apples and a slight taste of lemon. I suspect this is young yet, but I don't have much experience aging champagne.

Great champagne after around 25 years of bottle, this original Crémant de Cramant bottled with a traditional staple had still a small pschitt at the opening but no more bubbles once in the glass.
Nice dark gold color.

Wednesday at Heidi's: Pale yellow color. Assertive nose featuring a prominent yeast/bread dough aroma complimented with lemon and other citrus smells. Very pleasant. In the mouth this delivers crisp and clean citrus fruit that is a touch sweeter than other champagnes I've had recently. The mousse produces a very light mouthfeel. Balanced. Great finish. I can see this being a real crowd pleaser, as there is nothing out of place. My only complaint would be that it is a bit on the generic side (little in the way of unique character shows through).

Very light yellow color, almost clear. Not much nose but a delicious, bright and refreshing flavor with tastes especially of vanilla, quite yeasty but balanced, perhaps some honeydew melon and hazelnuts on the finish. Other have noted tasting lemon, but I did not, especially not compared to the other two champagnes tasted (Perrier Jouet La Fleur and Mumm Grand Cru), which had very strong lemon citrus flavors. Good value.

Color is pale straw. Nose shows lemon at the fore with toast and a hint of yeast to complement. On the palate, sharp lemon flavors are framed by a doughy toasty element. Importantly, however, there is a definitive "hole" on the mid-palate (thanks to Matt for this comment). Good acidity finishes this refreshing sparkler.

Almost colorless; It came across as almost painfully dry and short on the finish. After it was open 15 minutes or so it started to come alive with some vanilla and cream flavors along with apples. The last glass was the best one so this did improve once poured.
