Disgorged 06/2022, 1982-2018 vintages. Not oxidative like I was expecting for a solera, this is fresh, tense, and lively. The balance is really excellent. I think with a few years of bottle age this could be special.

DG June 2021 - blend of soleras up to the 2017 vintage. An interesting nose, with some richer fruit (especially with air) intermingled with hints of cool menthol. Tart green and broader yellow apple, bitter lemon, something bready on the finish. Decent complexity and good structure, but I'm afraid this was just too austere to be much fun, perhaps due to the 2017 vintage character.

Aline Wines’ Grower Champagne Tasting (WineHouse, Los Angeles): This is a Champagne made using solera system which was started in 1982. The wine I tasted was bottled in 2018. Rhubarb, dill, underripe strawberry. Green lime. Yeast, cream cheese on the palate. A lot of tension. Melon rind or grapefruit pith. 8+/18

Notes of nectarine, pie dough, and chalk on the nose. Flavors of salt, nectarine, yellow apple, chalk and a hint of butter and pastry on the finish. Medium plus acid.
Enjoyed it - looking forward to seeing how it evolves with time.

Golden coloring with a sharp green apple nose. Tart green apple on the palate is notable first thing. A more rounded mouthfeel follows with a soft finish. Clean a bright.

Tasted at Restaurant Savage in Oslo from Zalto Universal. Degorgement date unknown. According to homepage, PN 45% and PM 45%, both from Montaigne de Reims, and Chardonnay 10% from Montaigne de Reims and Vitryat. Blended from all the producers terroirs, made with solera started from 1982, one years maturation on foudre. Beautiful golden colour. Nutty and yeasty aromas perfectly blended with crisp yellow fruit and citrus. Would almost believe Chardonnay percentage was higher. Great balance and concentration, acid most definitely still present despite age of reserve wines, bubbles also still present. Marvellous with all savory seafood dishes, as well as delicate meat dishes.

DG 06/2021, Solera 1982-2017. Does this mean this bottle is from 2017 or rather 2018 by adding the Solera reserve to the new vintage. I dont know, may be someone who knows can add in the comments. Anyway, I liked this Champagne for its racy, dry character, leads with apple cider aromas oak and cinnamon spice, lots of power on the palate, clearly in Pinot land here. 94-95

Nose: The nose is complex and aromatic with Peaches, nectarines, nougat, vanilla, red apples, toast, biscuits, pears, smoke tones, minerals, white flowers, almonds, and hazelnuts.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, high acidity. The feel is balanced and complex with peaches, red apples, nectarines, nougat, vanilla, almonds, hazelnuts, smoke tones, toast, and biscuits.
Overall: This is fantastic. This straddles that line between oxidative and fresh style and it brings about a lot of complexity.

Disgorged 7/2020. Delicious and balanced. Beautiful pale gold. Nose opens with yeasty notes, marzipan, dough, Meyer lemon, mineral and stone. Fine little bubbles, creamy mousse. Bright and sunny, with background hints of ripe green apple, honey and that beautifully oxidizated flavor of a nicely aged champagne - quite well-integrated Solera method. Retains freshness throughout the long finish.

Very light slightly golden colour. Fresh biscuity nose. Brioche and dough on the palette intermingled with intense zesty acids providing citric flavours but without being fruity. Really invigorating and down right delicious. Finishes with tantalising lift and the imprint of flavours to be savoured. A lovely gastronomic Champagne.

What a fascinating nose for a NV wine - orchard fruit with fresh lemon accents, hazelnut, brioche, slightly toasty. Beautiful depth on the palate with a slight piquancy. It turns out that this melange of aged and fresh characteristics should be expected - this cuvée is the result of a Solera method with new wine added to the blend every year since 1982. 10% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Meunier, 45% Pinot Noir. Disgorged November 2019. 93-94 points

Perpetual blend going back 35 years that makes this a richer chamapgne than the Laherte with more creaminess and brioche. Didn't mind this but thought the weight and fruit weren't that well-integrated, the red apples come across a little disjointed on the finish.

I found this more in the rich, brioche, toasty style than crisp and dry. But enough tart citrus to make it interesting. Very good with blue cheese, and with a braised chicken and mushroom stew.

Shows a lot of wood on the nose. At least on the first night. A lot. The second night lets it be more Chard dominant in expression. Complex sorts of mature notes mixed with fresher citrus. But never nits completely together. I enjoyed it more on the second night but it never really took off. At half the price this would be ok. The current price represents a poor value.

Overall very subtle, more elegant and fine than rich and in-your-face. Notes of browned apple, citrus, brioche, also some hazelnuts, there is also a slightly vegetal note, especially in the nose, also some chalky minerality. Fine bubbles, it‘s medium-bodied, more built on tension than body, has pretty high acidity providing very good freshness. Good length. An elegant, fresh and pretty complex Champagne at a realistic price.

Pajizo brillante.

Light color, fine bead. Caramel aromatics. Medium weight. Surprisingly dry and mineral, but ripe peach fruit and caramel return on the finish. I'm not sure what to make of this but am quite sure that I'm not willing to pay over $80 to figure it out.

This is something special and the wine also has special flavors which I did not describe in my notes while talking to the winemaker. This Champagne is made according to the Solera System. They started in 1982 with this Champagne. Annually approx 30% of the content of the casks is bottled and the casks are refilled with the most recent vintage. The result is a wine which seems to be mature with good minerality and it is nicely dry. This is all I can recall. The flavors were special . I was not really sure if I really liked this very much. Better than their basic bubble, but lacking the freshness of the 2006 Blanc de Blancs. I scored the wine 87.
