Small amount of leakage from cork has soiled the capsule. Cork is spongy and pulls out easily. Nose is red fruit, caramel and herb. Full bodied, sweetie and quite tannic. Some peanut skin. Seems over extracted and slightly oxidized. I have been unimpressed by this Domaine since the new ownership, around 2009.

Decanted 2 hrs. Brick red, pale edges. Large bq w typical Nebbiolo traits of tar, flowers, some oak, sweet cherry/strawberry fruit, spices. Nice rounded tannins, plenty of acidity, fruit from fresh sour cherries. Fairly long, balanced aftertaste w lingering tannins, some alcohol. Feels a bit polished. While perhaps not a mainstream Barolo, it is not THAT atypical. Time to drink has arrived!

Classic Nebbiolo. Likeable berries on the nose, but still very closed. Needs a lot of time. Significantly better the next day. Decant for hours or leave in cellar. Decent value for Money.

Initially right from the bottle a very flowery and soft wine with not a lot of tannins. After some time in the glass the tannins start to show up more and more, and the power and intensity of the wine increases. Very floral and expressive nose with red fruits and an impeccable balance. Palate is powerful and no-nonsense. This is a wine for ages to come, and I can't wait for my remaining bottles to age 5 years before trying this one again.

: ! Nebbiolo-aften i fjorden med broderen. Marsipan og litt alkkoholstikk. Stramme sure kirsebær. 1 dag i åpen flaske, rester på kjøkkenet: Marsipan i dag også, tynn flat frukt.

A wine that did not pass the Barolo gate. Typical Nebbiolo on the nose. In the mouth it is very fruity and easygoing, but seems to have tightened up since last time I tasted it. Much better now.

Tight and sour to start with but after airing quite nice. Young of course but shows bright red fruit with lingonberrys and sour cherries. Good acidity and quite substantial tannins. Fairly long finish with some spice an tingling sour minerals. Good stuff, but decant well or leave in the cellar for later.

Barolo and other wines from Borgogno (Stockholm): Light red colour. Aromatic and elegant nose with some resin and pine-tree needles, slightly flowery, and with mild spices. Elegant palate with red berries, rather good concentration, good acidity and rather noticeable tannins. Rather accessible, could develop, 89(+) p.

Bottle in perfect shape. Carmine red with a hint of orange. Still young, but looks older than 4 years. When popped and poured the nose is really closed. At first lots of wood with a dusty note and some plum and koks. But with time in the glass this wine open up quite well and offers plum, cherries, oak and dark chocolate. Even a some hazelnuts. This wine has a medium body with lots of raw tannins at first. Lots of wood with some sour cherries and dark plums. Quite ok acidity and good length. The alcohol is a bit on top of everything and make this wine a bit unbalanced.
I decided to save most of this wine til the day after, and I must say it was a good thing to do. The bouquet is much more generous the day after and offers roses, sweet cherries, chocolate, spices, more gentle oak and a hint of peony and cassis. To my delight the bouquet is more burgundian the day after. Burgundian, but with a twist. Even in the taste the wine perform better the day after. The tannins are more soft, the alcohol is integrated in the wine and the fruit is more "alive". I must say the wine is more balanced the day after. The finish is even better the day after as well. So my rating for this wine differs a lot between day 1 and day 2. When popped and poured: 85 - 86p The day after (24 h): 90 - 91p
I will buy this wine again. A perfect wine to stick away for a few years and a perfect everyday wine.
I must admit I can't figure out the blend in this wine. It is of course dominated by Nebbiolo, but there is probably Barbera and maybe even some Cabernet in it.

Bright, medium red color. The nose has just a slight touch of nebbiolo perfume, roses and jasmine. But there is also plenty of oak to cover the wine in a shroud of hazelnuts, almonds, milk chocolate and tar. It's origins exposes itself in the form of cocktail cherries and a seedy bitterness in the mouth. But still this is quite tasty. Good, generous fruit. Distinct, raw tannins and good length. Would have wanted a slightly higher acidity. This will keep good for a few years, but I wouldn't bet on it for the long run.
