BYOB dinner and then some; 2/1/2024-2/2/2024 (Avalon, Amsterdam): Although this was a bonus bottle in the line up, it was the WOTN for me. The gorgeously balanced sweetness (100 g/l RS) with the bracingly high (almost H+) acidity, complemented by the great aroma’s and flavors (lime, peach, kardemom) and the never-ending finish, just made it marvelous. No real signs of development yet, this has many decades to go. Happy to have 5 more in the cellar!

Yikes! Wild, fecund, flamboyant. Floral, fungal, diverse citrus and stone fruits, pineapple.... Thick, sweet, buoyant, pillowy, then firm and mineral and deeply cutting. Honeyed and sweet finish, with loads of citrus, spice, earth and herbs. Extremely long finish. Crazy Auslese. This will last forever.

I pulled this from the cellar thinking it was a dry Riesling for a recent dinner pairing. Although this was very sweet, it was delicious and still paired well with the dish.

Amazing bottle. World class auslese at pedestrian prices. ~$35 for a half bottle of this mind blowing juice. Nose, wet rock, peach, apricot, pineapple, melon. Palate, weighty and rich but so fresh and fine. Great acid, peach, apricot, honey, ripe citrus oils.

Incredible intensity and energy. The wine showed explosive apples and candied citrus notes, but what really stood out was the energy of the palate. Wonderful acidity to keep everything in balance. Possibly the best young Riesling that I have ever had.

From 375. Beautifully balanced wine with so much potential and a long life ahead of it. Right now its picking up a little petrol on the nose and a taut vibrating candied lemon bursting fruitiness with some honey on the palate. mouth-filling smooth body that lingers well after the sip is gone. Tasted over 3 nights and it was rock steady. glad I have a couple more halves of this

Utterly brilliant...there is so much happening on the nose and palate I'm not sure words can do this wine justice. It's almost emotional as I giggle like a happy little kid. Apples and citrus with mineral notes and ocean air come to mind as I stick my nose in the glass. Open almost 24 hours now...and the palate is cascading intense fruit flavors like kiwi, passion fruit, peach, nectarine, lime, quince, and more...all with a long, long finish that keeps causing the mouth to water more. Extraordinary!!! One of the best young Auslese Rieslings I've had and on-par with the JJ Prum goldkap in quality at a fraction of the cost. Buy as much of this as you can find...I'm looking for more.

Klokkeklar frukt på nese. Hvit fersken, moden sitron, klementiner, grønne epler. Utrolig ren og presis vin. Leskende i munn; vibrerende syre og delikat sødme. Stor konsentrasjon. Lang utgang. Dette er en fryd å drikke allerede, men kommer vel til å bli bedre år for år i flere tiår fremover. Bare å glede seg!

Yeah ... this is awesome. The nose started off with some sort of creamy nut oil, kind of like Marzipan but more like a cloud. Now it's more classic with cumin, spice, lime, minerals and some crunchy green. The palate is quite sweet but really light on its feet: with lots of lime, tangerine, mandarin. But it's the finish that's just explosive - while still being light: the brilliant spread of flavors in the mouth - with the citrus but adding some creamy tropical notes, all while being laser focused and so delicate. Nose - 5/6. Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 6/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 18/20.

I last had this wine this past september and this second bottle is already on the next level, showing, not maturity, but a zen-like harmony - acid, fruit, energy and sweetness all in perfect balance - to be left in the cellar for as long as you like, but already a truly great wine.

Nice aromas of tropical fruit. Especially citrus. Not my usual field of fluids, but definitely intrigued by this low alcohol, high flavour segment. Saving remaining bottles for some years to see how they develop.

This shows a fairly elegant nose of pear and honey-dew melon. On the palate piercing acidity, almost masking the intense, sweet fruit. Apricot, more melon, some pear and citrus. Long, almost spritzy finish. This is a real youngster. Considerable upside as it gains more complexity with age. Amazing QPR!

Tasted after Kirchspiel Auslese. Richer, spicier and more concentrated on both nose and palate. Again this superb balance of richness of fruit, acidity and intense minerality. Intense, but fresh and lively. Super persistent and layered towards the finish. 95-96+

Stunningly pure with great acidity and lift. There is lots of finesse, sweet, slightly honeyed fruit, lots of minerality and a powerful, still delicate finish of incredible length. A hauntingly pure, beautiful, tender wine. Bargains are difficult to find at Keller, especially at this end of the spectrum, but the QPR here is hard to beat. 96-97+
