This wine is way not ready. Very rebellious. The nose is nice, a bit of leather and mushroom, yet the taste is sharp red fruit, oak, too vibrant, even after a couple hours of bottle breathing. Chambolle wines should be calmer. I have a full case of it and I won't open another bottle at least in a year time, not that I think it will be ready, but I think once it's ready this wine would be really something.

PnP & slow ox 90 mins prior to dinner in Riedel Burgs. Serving temp around 60. Semi translucent bright ruby red. Roses, underbrush & berries on the nose. Palate is mostly elegant w/a slightly less attractive bitter note on the finish. Red fruit, spice, underbrush & minerality on a slightly svelte frame for a '15. Better on night 2. 13% alc. One left that I'll plan to open 2026-2030.

Bottle breathe for 30 min. Nice aroma of raspberry and flower. The palate is juicy and offer some structure, with some minerality and branches. Medium finishing. Very nice to drink now but I think it could last for another few years before mature.

Eye: deep ruby Nose: cherries, strawberry, spice and a hint of plums and forest floor lurking. Sexy!! Palate: Bing cherry, juicy plums with some clove perhaps. Medium plus acidity and a medium plus finish.
Overall, this is quite lovely and punches above its weight. 1er juice here. No rush here but this was so sexy I will have to hide them in my cellar from myself. Enjoy!
Compared to the same vintage VR by the same producer, this wine is a bit more open and expressive. Redder fruit, more perfumed nose. As with VR, this village wine can be confused with a 1er cru if tasted blind. Great stuff.

Beautiful Chambolle Musigny! Nose has the characteristic ornately floral bouquet of a Chambolle Musigny. The backend of the nose finishes with charred meats. The palate is intensely acidic and fleshy with deep notes of licorice and berries. Loved this wine. The first note made me feel like I jumped into a warm chocolate bath! Didn’t need any decanting.

A bit more masculine than the 2014. Chambolle fruits are still old. Never had a bad wine from this producer. Me thinks a bit too you. Need some more to put away. Very solid. Decanted two hours.

Quite young but I couldn't help myself. Deep and dark nose of black cherries, with beef cubes, bacon, deep earth and sage. Crisp acidity frames the wine really well, while grippy tannins give it solid structure. Some strong tannins on the back end, but the acidity is really focused and lifts it up a bit. Dark cherries and pomegranate fruit (concentrated but tangy and fresh). I get spicy beef tones, sage, dried flowers, which will come out more with time. If I had another, I'd hold for four to six years. Killer village Chambolle.

Bright ruby color. Red fruit, roses and light spice in the fairly open nose. Soft and inviting palate, with a slight tannic edge. Ends gracefully. Delicious but has the bones to age. Excellent entry level wine from a great producer.

Red fruit and minerality. A little brighter and more tart than the Vosne Romanee tasted recently (though comparable qualitatively). Better on night two. Solid for the price.

Wow, what a beauty this was tonight with pan seared tuna! PnP and slow ox for 90+ minutes prior to dinner. Served just north of cellar temp to eventual low 60s. Semi translucent bright ruby red. Fantastic aromatics of; red berries, spice, chalk and light underbrush. The palate couldn't be more Chambolle with its silky, suave, weightless energetic mouthfeel. Elegant, expansive red fruit, spice, underbrush and minerality. Just a shadow of oak pops through but mostly well integrated. Dam, I wish I had bought more than 3 of these for the $45 I paid. What a steal that was! Fantastic and one of my best 2015s to date. 13% alc.
Really beautiful nose that's almost entirely red raspberry notes along with some minerals and spice, but the raspberry note is really the highlight here. Unmistakeable Chambolle, but a bit tight and not particularly complex on the palate. The richness of the '15 vintage helps here but I found this to be not particularly remarkable, and enjoyed the '14 vintage more from this domaine.

Burgundy, Rhone, Provence Trip; 9/3/2018-9/15/2018 (Burgundy, Rhone, Provence, France): Light medium ruby color, pretty. Drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Ordered off the list at La Dilettante in Beaune. This was a little bit slow to get its legs, but after a good 30 minutes or so, it really began to unfold. The fruit of the vintage comes into the light, mixed red berries, mineral and some sleek tannins. This should improve over a couple years yet.

Double blind tasting. Brief note. Pours a transparent purple in the glass. High toned perfumed red fruits, allspice, and ferrous earth dominate the otherwise closed and relatively thin midpalate. As time goes on this begins to flesh out slightly but never realizes its full potential. This needs much time.

double decanted briefly before serving. Dark ruby with hint of transparency. Nose some spice, dark cherries, light vanilla. Palate dense/layered/coiled, some kirsch, nice depth to the body with some iron. Somewhat simple and closed to me at this point, either would decant more heartily or just lay it down and open in 5 years, somewhat of a waste to open at this point. 90 pts for now

Pnp, dark ruby in color. Sweet floral and red fruits aroma. Medium extract on palate, the sweet and acidic fruits melt perfectly with hint of spice and oak. Tannin very smooth with a slight dusty touch. A very nice village wine!

Lovely, but a bit too young currently; the nose is beautiful with floral notes, red berry fruits, and lots of minerality. The palate is quite a bit more austere and closed than I expected. Pretty tight and structured this definitely needs food and really needs some cellar time. I probably won't try again until 2022-2025. Very good potential.

Much lighter color than the Sigaut. Cooler menthol nose, less red fruit. Some noticeable wood astringency. I found less Chambolle flavor and character here.

Medium dark ruby color, hint of ripe crushed berries on the nose, then tasty medium cherry fruit, good dose of dried cherry and some cranberry tartness. Reminds me a bit of the 2010 model, maybe with a bit more depth.

SLDS August 2017: Aromatically tight, some blackberry and earth with cherry as well. Palate has good structure, the tannins and acidity work well together. I have a good feeling that this will be more expressive and showing more interest in a couple of years time.
