Earthy and relatively restrained, needed air (slow ox for several hours, kept opening up with further decanting). Good minerality and lovely acidity, well integrated tannins, notes of wet forest, mushrooms, leather.

I’m quite happy with the way this is progressing. Great producer and superb vintage is a good combo. I’m sorry to hear of some that have bottles that are in poor condition. Transit from Europe clearly matters with delicate wines. My case appears to be in good shape so far. Lots of complexity and a bit less fruit forward than many from this vintage. I’m a fan.

Upon opening, the nose had the over the hill quality. After a decant and 45 min breath, this really opened up. It's rich, almost full bodied, and still has a nice background tannin structure. I would say this is just past peak, but still outstanding.
EDIT....This is definitely on it's last legs. I just opened a 2015 Lumpp Givey premier cru and it blows it away. None of that mushroom nose. Drink up on the Joblot.

{Bought on release, #2 of 12, sound cork} served from cellar, too cold, nonetheless initially delicious, crisp red>>black cherry fruits, medium+ body, good finish. With time ... More of the same. Delicious. Wonderful breadth of palate,. Givry body & depth. When this wine is mature predict delicious, full wine that is an exemplar for newbies.

Same vintage and produced exactly the same way as the Clos du Cellier aux Moines tasted beside it. Vineyards are next to each other, but the wines are very different. Servoisine is rustic and powerful, the Clos du Cellier aux Moines much more elegant and floral. Great terroir expression. I prefer the Servoisine.

Very impressive and expressive. A touch primary yet singing with red berry flavours from a wonderful vintage. Drop this into a blind tasting of cote de Beaune crus and delight in the outcome. Superb value and long life ahead.

Nice after it was opened for an hour or so. Red fruit mostly with some mineral undertones. Medium weight and nice finish. Modern. I’d guess early part of drinking window.

{1st of 12, decanted and drunk over 6 hours with dinner and family} Initial crisp acidity and red fruits on opening, broadened out to an excellent, minerally, core-dark fruited wine with very good length. Clearly a step up from the 2015 Clos du Cellier Aux Moines which I tried a few night ago, and this really needs decanting - and rewards it! One of the best 2015 Givry I've had. Pomelo is right, this will reward another 3-5 years of aging and will probably see 15 years of age without any problem.

Grand Cru Pinot (Harbour 220/L15 131 Macquarie Street): Medium plus intensity raspberry and, especially, strawberry. Spicy, very young nose, muted and controlled oak lends a cedar note. Quite perfumed. Juicy acidity, fleshy, fruit up front is joined by cheek gripping tannins and a little white pepper spice on the long finish. Pretty good.
