From a 375ml. Poured the entire bottle out, then repoured into the bottle and left to sit for a few hours. Even with the advance preparation - and the smaller format - it seems like it needed more air (or more likely, many more years). Big, bold white peach and citrus dueling with massive oak character, with a wash of flint and reduction over everything. Impressive but disjointed at present, which is a shame since the only reason I opened this now was to try to get ahead of any potential premox. Would love to try a (pristine) bottle with 10+ years on it.

Very powerful, dense, still oak-dominant, but with a lot of power behind the fruit and concentration as well. Would love to see where this goes in 5-10 years

Rich and forward with caramel, salty minerals, and ripe yellow fruit. Good mid palate attack with intensity and minerality. Very good now but now sure if it is for the long haul.

The first whiff is of intense citrus fruit. It has so much geological matter too. The palate is a cold steel blade. It is painfully intense, so direct and has so much drive. It finishes with wonderful cut and has length to burn. Wonderful wine but still too young.

67 Pall Mall afternoon: My first time trying this producer, think they have changed style after being a poster-child for premox. Very new-school in style in terms of the reductiveness and leanness, green fruit that had enough weight to compensate for the style nevertheless. Still very young.

Very tight, with steely Corton line. Rich orchard fruits but all contained. Great detail and fine complexity. It finishes with such authority and drive. Should be special in a decade.

Kleur: Middel strogeel. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 17 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 92/100
Colour: Medium straw yellow. Aroma / bouquet: Fresh aroma in which aromas such as lime, fresh pineapple and pear dominate at this stage. In addition, a characteristic note that I usually describe in terms of 'roasted nuts' and 'cooked white cabbage' that I find characteristic of the better Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne, Taste / Aftertaste: The first impression is defined by a striking 'crispy' fresh acidity, a filming mouthfeel. Beautiful rich Chardonnay in which the wood aging can be tasted but in a truly brilliant harmony. Clearly still young and fresh aromatic. Long finish. General / potential: WAY too young at the moment. I am very curious how this wine will develop in the coming years. Our first next meeting will not be before 2026! 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 17 + General / Potential: 8 = 92/100

Overt gunflint and smoke. Dried white flower, lemonade, citrus peel, pear saline. Subtle brioche and toasty oak. Gains weight as it opens and warms up in glass. So precise and fine. One to love!

Typically full bodied Grand cru Bourgogne aged on oak just the way I like it, not too much and not to little oak but clearly toasty like eg. Domaine Leflaive. Definitely outstanding all ready. No specific tasting notes taken. Rating based on performance right now.

91 points O’Neill - 91-92 Me Simple on the pallet…had great acidity and clean young aromatics, but was just simple and lacked complexity on the pallet. Does not have the stuffing to be great - RSO

Painfully young, but nonetheless quite impressive, with rich, concentrated orchard fruit, evident but reasonably restrained new oak and some non-obtrusive reductive notes. Lots of upside here.

Coiled and at this stage very tight but has the great sense of balance + purity that the best 17's seem to have. One of the best young Bonneau's I can remember ever tasting however it is offering little pleasure at this stage. I wouldn't even be checking in here for at least 5 years. Very, very good Corton Charlemagne.

Young fresh with great density & a purity of orchard fruits. Long and serious with slate minerality. Shows real breed and while quite enjoyable now, just a baby. Love the cut and precision for a Corton.

67 Pall Mall vertical (2017, 2014, 2009, 2008, 1998, 1993): light straw color. Touch reductive on the nose, but good vibrancy, acidity and cut on the palate. Hint of yellow fruit and a long finish indicate this will age beautifully. Just behind the 2014 for me.

Dinner with Jean Luc from Comte Georges de Vogue and his wife. Such a fresh, lifted and pretty nose. Bonneau typical white flowers, minerals and white citrus fruits. Palate with pears, apples, lemons, lime and minerals. Acidity is very precis and lifts the overall taste. Superb length and finish. Very fine vintage of this pearl. Still only a baby. (94 - 96)

Young and fresh but wow what a glass. Differently way to young. Almost crispy like a Chablis but with the oak taken over, and not in a bad way.
If you have one and want to drink it now give it 3-6 hours of decating.
