The aroma is all encompassing, rich, and ever enduring. Notes of bees wax, cheese rind, butter, flowers, and a soft apple-like acidity. The mouthfeel is rich and oily. Opens creamy, butter and hazelnuts. Then comes acidity, bitterness, but the creaminess lingers. Astonishing!

PnP and consumed over a couple of days. Trademark LdH white profile, mature and intense flavors, dried peaches on palate, profound, oily, very complex, mouth coating, and adjectives could go on... It's a great wine and it's the whites where LdH shines the most. Outstanding and still a bargain at 40€. Very enjoyable now and could last more years.

A year after the prior, and our sixth of this lovely vintage: Fabulous again. And once more, a cornucopia of flavors — including creamy savory marzipan — backed up with fabulous acidity. What an amazing creature, extremely enjoyable over four nights.

Last had this more or less one year ago exactly, and now checked in again. Compared to then, this has gained a bit in intensity and power. This tasted like nuts, apple, wax, lemon peel, coffee and spices, and was absolutely inhaled by us. Ifyou have multiple, it's time to check in!

This bottle was much les oxydatif than the one I had a few months ago - apparently a cork issue. Strange wine, almost tannic, smells of wax, the wife doensn't like. However, it is sublime with well matured cured ham. So drink with Spanish tapas, and don't pose too many questions...

Coravin. 12.5% alcohol. Yellow-golden; highly aromatic, oxidative, nutty, lemon peel, citrus oil, hazelnut; medium bodied, dry, relatively low 12.5% alcohol, preserved lemon with some citrus oil and saltiness; long finish. Really exceptional LdH white. These have gotten a bit pricey recently, but it's still worth it for its balance and unique character. I'm sure this will age much longer, but it is enjoyable now. 93+

Double blind tasting Light gold color with rose tint Medium plus aromas of lime and moderate warm spice - oak aromas here are so amazingly balanced that one doesn't even notice unless deliberately thinking about it Medium bodied with palate of grapefruit and lime with dried herbs and distinct salt/ minerality Medium plus acidity and medium alcohol with no significant phenolic bitterness noted Nice finish led by minerality and acid with touch of oak sweetness I missed the oak here somehow and guessed Jura Savignin Another winner by LdH - drink now or hold 5-10 yrs

Pale gold Aromatics medium +. Butterscotch, spice, lime, golden florals followed by a sweet wet nut Palate has a medium body. Acid medium +. No phenolics. Alcohol medium. Citrus of lime and lemon, salt and spice. Razor sharp. Finish has a medium + length. Balanced Dry glass notes of nut and spice Overall pretty amazing nose, great combination of acid, citrus and minerals on the palate. For the price, it is hard to find a similar wine this interesting Drinking great now, but has all the components for years of aging

Tasted blind. Bright acidity up front. The wine is taut and restrained at fridge temperature with predominantly crisp fruit initially apparent. As it warms, the oak begins to come through as well as sweeter honey notes. There is toasted almond and a butteryness that might lead one to think this was an oaked Chardonnay (as my fellow taster concluded).
A very well made hugely interesting wine that is more accessible (and a fair bit cheaper) than its bigger sibling Tondonia Blanco. Delicious.

On the nose: really floral, hints of oranges or Meyer lemons, honey and cloves
On the palate: balanced acidity and weight, notes of oranges come through to lift the wine and provide freshness, with sherry like oxidative notes and almonds rounding out the finish. I agree with another note here that the length is short but all in all this is a very nice wine!

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lime, apricot, peach, stoniness, mineral, oak, coconut, vanilla, almond, hazelnut, honey and leesy. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity. Incredible for the price.

Writing this day 2. Fascinating wine. Surprisingly fresh, has a wonderful creaminess with great acidity. Some sort of key lime pie mixed with fresh jackfruit. Cantaloupe, Marzipans slightly oaky/oxidative finish but are really far in the background. Not really sure what it would go with so I decided to not drink it with anything. Ha. Absolutely enjoyable. Not for everyone. In fact this wine is really awful. no one buy this wine (more for me)
Dark yellow-gold. Smelled almost like bourbon in a way, caramel, honey, brown sugar, and a faint whiff of sweet cantaloupe; tasted lime and some reprise of the smells. Dry with medium mouthfeel, balanced acidity but still smooth. Finishes fruity and medium plus. Impressive.

Nearly 3 months after the prior: absolutely lovely, and characteristic, once again. What a fabulous and truly distinctive creature, singing over four nights. And once again, we are thinking, this looks to be an excellent vintage/rendition.

Deep golden straw. This is so utterly distinctive, there’s nothing like it in the world — aside from its sibling blanco Tondonia. As usual, savory marzipan and a complex cornucopia of waxy and spicy flavors. Fabulously long finish with bracing acid backbone. It is fresh and driven, although perhaps just a bit less so than the 2012. We’ve had vintages going back to 2006, and this is certainly both characteristic, and up to par. Excellent, meted out in small pours over four nights — and, as usual, going beautifully with curried prawns.
Tallbarr. Torkade örter. Supertorr.

Struck by oak and acidity on the nose, this wine offers a nice depth of lemon zest, star fruit and agave on palate. Very acidic but still a nice warmth from the oak presents a very likeable white rioja that Will continue to develop in bottle.

That LdH ox style is present. Waxy and round, yet tangy and acidic. Youthful. Lemon, nuts. oil. Medium-bodied. Very compact still. Does what this wine is supposed to do, if you like the style, it is what you want from LdH blanco. Just a bit young right now for me.

I stick with my notes from previous vintages. This is truly a wine that fit my preferences.
Oaky oxidative, grilled lemon, nutty honey, hay and almonds.
