Popped and poured, 57 F. Light ruby color. Aromatic nose of fresh red cherry, strawberry, earthy herbal and floral notes. Well integrated oak and alcohol, lively lovely acidity. Silky tannins with just a bit of grip. Cranberry and sweet bing cherry fruit on the palate, raspberry, spicy oak, clove, mineral and cedar notes on the palate. Long, lingering finish. Perhaps heresy, but, while not as elegant as the 2014 Cantina del Pino Ovello Barbaresco I had a few days ago, I enjoyed this very quaffable wine much more. Just entering its drinking window, looking forward to see how this develops over the next few years. Great QPR.

From 75cl, DIAM closure, decanted 1 hour, but best (most expressive, herbal, junior-Barolo-like) directly after opening. With more air, it became soft, medium-bodied, on the sweet side (for a Langhe Nebbiolo); a delicious, friendly table wine with no complications or pretentions. 88P

Lovely. 100% Nebbiolo. Fruity and floral nose, as well as an underlying complexity on the palate with cherries, spice, and some earthiness. 2019 is turning out to be a very good vintage in the Langhe and it shows with the various Langhe Nebbiolos I've tried. Popped it maybe 1 hour before dinner, but didn't decant - though that wouldn't be a bad idea - and paired with juicy top sirloin burgers. It evolved nicely over dinner. We had another bottle a few nights later with grilled herbed flank steak, also a good pairing. This could easily age for a few more years, but it's drinking well right now with food.

Bottle 1345g. Aromas of elevated intensity: black cherry and boysenberry with a floral top note. Dry, with elevated fresh acidity, and vivid sweet fruit on the palate. Full-bodied, 14°. Elevated, grippy tannins crescendo through the finish. Juicy and enjoyable like a Cru Beaujolais, but nebbiolo.

From the wine list at Eat Me (Bangkok). Paired with beef tenderloin and mashed potatoes. First western food we've eaten after three weeks in SE Asia, so decided to go for a red wine. This was drinking well, although still could benefit for a couple years of cellar time. Red fruited, strawberry notes with some tannins on the finish. Easy drinking and tasty!

Tasted this along side three other Nebbiolos, two Barberas and an old Barbaresco Riserva. This Langhe Nebbiolo has medium tannins, and was very full on the palate when compared to other Nebbiolo Langhes. it improved over the 2 1/2 hours of tasting. Very enjoyable. it will likely get a little better with a little bit of time in the cellar.

Solid and enjoyable if not especially complex. I prefer some other Langhe Nebbiolos that have less ripe fruit and are more Barolo-like at the lower price point. I would still enjoy having this wine again.

Pale ruby in the glass, cranberries, tart cherry, a hint of wood, and dust on both the nose and palate. Smooth entry and beautiful acidity. Very nice complexity for this designation of Nebbiolo. Long finish with dusty and tight tannin. Really enjoyed this wine and the QPR at ~$22 is outstanding. Coin toss between this bottling and Produttori’s declassified neb.

Really fun and delicious. For my palate, this was a tiny step down from the previous vintage. It was still very tasty. I'm really not the hugest fan of Nebbiolo, but I've definitely had enough of it that I have my share of favorite producers, and once again this is one of my favorite Langhe bottles.
I found this much fruitier than the '18- it felt a lot softer, more ripe and rounded, and yet it somehow showed much redder fruit, with the previous vintage showing more of a fresh, precise dark fruit thing. This was pretty much entirely a burst of strawberry jam and roses on the nose (def the most "jammy" Nebb I've ever tried), not really any of that woodsy/earthy Nebbiolo nuance, just really fun and expressive. Tannins are very well controlled, thick texture, never coarse or gritty. Acidity is lively, maybe not perfectly harmonious with the cute fruit, but it worked well. Not a truly standout Nebbiolo for me but a truly enjoyable one.

Vietti's Nebbiolo Perbacco is comprised of the wine that is left over after the final blend of the Barolo Castiglione is confirmed. Tasted in a restaurant from a bottle that was uncorked and poured, it is a medium ruby wine which requires 30 minutes in glass to fully flaunt its aromatic profile of earthy red cherries, rhubarb, cocoa and mulling spices. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, lightly oaked and without any heat from its 14% alcohol, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas. The mid-palate is dense and layered, leading to a lengthy finish that carries a bit of tannic grip. This is an impressive expression of the grape, especially considering its modest price. Although it can be enjoyed now, a bit more time in the cellar will allow the tannins to better integrate. Drink 2024-2030.

An easy drinking well made fresh Nebbiolo, aged for 18 months in used FR oak barrels. Medium ruby red colour. Medium intensity aroma if cherries, spices, rose petals, dried raspberries and leafy nuances. Medium body, tight, fresh and juicy structure, cherry pit fragrant flavours along spiced and earthy hints, bright acidity, powdery and finely grained tannins.

Tasted alongside an 08…The latter showed old school Nebbiolo flavors with some raisin on the nose. The ‘19 was very fresh and young, w/o the nuisance of the older wine. I will try again in a yr but think this will be a great qpr wine.

What a great wine for the price. So young but approachable after some air. Lots of nuanced flavours. I understand some of the material comes from the barolo vineyards. Happy to drink this while waiting for the ‘big boys’ to mature.

Purchased for $22. This is young and it shows. Light ruby red in color. Red fruits with hints of mint and spices. Nice strawberry and raspberry notes with summer herbs and red licorice. Grippy tannins. Pleasing acidity. The tannins are very strong. This one can age. I like Vietti wines and have had a few older vintages in the past. This one, although inexpensive, has the stuff to last. Would be fun to try with a few more years on it. Grade: A-

A bottle drunk over three evenings from Zalto Denk'Art Burgundy glass. It was at its best on the first night. On the second and third it was a little less vibrant but did not fall over.
Light ruby colour, watery at the rim. Perfumed with intense rose florals, lifted, spicy red cherries and raspberries, red liquorice and touches of menthol and dried fennel. Sweet-seeming, with plenty of rich, ripe red fruit on entry to the palate, followed by dry, savoury and leathery, more typically Nebbiolo flavours. Lighter bodied - below mid weight for a Nebbiolo - Pinot Noir-like. Balanced and elegant. Vivid acids. Raspberry, some cranberry, red cherry, thyme and red liquorice. Alcohol moderate (14% ABV). Fine tannins. Some tannic grip on the moderately long, dry finish. With this acid profile, the 2019 Perbacco is a food friendly wine. I have seen Perbaccos drink well decades after bottling. Even though the 2019 is fully accessible this early, I am confident it will have a drinking window until at least 2030+.

More loaded with wood than a traditional Nebbiolo, it is aging also longer, till 18 months. I however enjoy this style and I hope to keep the second bottle for a year or two, I'm sure it can surprise and show off like a small Barolo.

Not as muscular and packed with fruit as some other vintages, more elegant and structured, which by itself is not a bad thing. However, this gets borderline thin at times. Still nice for a Langhe Nebbiolo. Can take some cellaring as well and might benefit from it if the tannins softens a bit.

Nice balance and not terribly complex, supported by a good tannic structure. The sufficiently intense fruits are mainly reds with some blues mixing in. Clear, crisp acids and a floral touch make this a pleasant nebbiolo, which certainly isn't void of tannins, as may be expected. Good price for quite satisfying, unmistakably Italian quality.

100% Nebbiolo. Deep ruby color, aromas of juicy cherries, raspberries, rose petals. Medium bodied, more fruits, powerful, very balanced Nebbiolo, tannins still quite gripping, needs time to soften, will benefit from ageing. Tasted again March 2023: integrated tannins, lingering finish, good stuff!

Deep ruby color. Aromas of warm cherries and raspberry compote, along with a floral potpourri of violet and rose petals, clove, sage and bay leaves. The palate shows a fresh and floral wine with moderate tannins and lively acidity, with crunchy raspberry and cherry fruit. Elements of mineral, tar, tobacco, dark earth, dried flowers, there’s just a lot going on here, and this has aging potential, too. A ton of Nebbiolo for the price.

Bright raspberry red, clearly very young. Lovely crisp redcurrant and sprinkle of black pepper, then morello cherries, and a teeny bit of bubblegum tantalise the nose. Tasting is the same, bright crunchy redcurrants but nicely muted, spicy black pepper in the background, crunchy and yummy. Really excellent from the outset and fades a bit as it meets strong food. Still pretty good, and needs to age to soften the tannins.

Appropriately pale. Deep fruit tones on the nose - some licorice - initially quite subdued. Good intensity of fruit on the palate - cherry and plums, balanced by savory flavors/ some balsamic. Sweetening up in the glass. This is very young. The components haven’t come together yet - the acid and tannin sit apart from the fruit. The structural elements are quite prominent, especially the tannins, which are pretty robust and a little drying. But the length is good. Loosened up in the glass after 45 minutes and was starting to come together after an hour. Langhe Nebbiolo in a more serious style as you might expect from terroir that is truly Barolo - mostly Ravera in Novello as I understand it. So it tastes as much like a young Barolo as a Langhe Nebbiolo. Based on its progression in the glass I think this will be fine if given the time it's noble terroir deserves, but the tannins are a little concerning. Really good value as always. Hold. If drunk now suggest a 60+ minute decant since this changed a great deal for the better over two hours. Next day - more integrated and the tannins, while still vibrant, are a bit more composed.

Solid Langhe Nebbiolo. Pretty red fruited nose, with a hint of wet asphalt and heat. Palate shows gentle extraction and modest tannins, juicy acid, more red fruit and just a hint of orange peel. A bit foursquare and hollow on the mid-palate transitions to a slightly drying finish. 88ish. Night 2: A touch more harmonious - the tannins are a little rounder and shows a bit more charming. 89+

Popped and poured. Medium translucent ruby color. Typical nebbiolo nose of fresh red cherry, rose petal, baking spice and a hint of cedar. Similar flavors on the palate with a juicy, red fruited mouthfeel. Medium+ acid and perhaps only medium tannin. Perhaps a touch less structured than prior vintages but overall quite enjoyable and a solid QPR.

Medium ruby color. On the nose, sour cherry, red plum, dried herbs, spices, roses or violets, cedar. The palate explodes with tart, sour red cherry. Young, fresh, juicy.
It will develop well into an elegant wine given a few years. Looking forward to trying it again with some age.
Dry, high tannins, medium (+) acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, medium(+) finish.
Paired with roasted chicken, mushroom, wild rice soup

Really well made Langhe Nebbiolo. The nose does not give too much away except some spices. There's initially quite a bit of oak on the palate yet with a bit of air things calm down and seem more integrated. Underneath there is silky delicious fruit, mainly blueberries. Not the most complex wine but it does not need to be. Likely to be better in a few years when the oak integrates further and the structure softens a little. 13.8% ABV served PnP and especially recommended when just £38 on the restaurant list.

Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): Most of the wine is declassified barolo which shows the quality that they are going for both for the Langhe but also for their barolos themselves (some other producers noted that if they had wine from a single vineyard area it was getting used regardless for that single vineyard). This is again a higher tannin style. Dark red plums. Lots of spice and kindof big and burly. It’s less complex and really made as a food wine rather than a standard sipper.

89/90. Has aromas of coffee, raspberries, sandstone, cherries. Its solid juicy medium bodied red and blue fruits palate has very good depth and finishes mediumish fresh and drying. 14%. Lay down 2-5 years.
Needs 90 mins aeration.

This is fine. A bit boring really and not showing a ton of Nebbiolo character. I expected more from Vietti.

Mjukt, fruktigt och matorienterat vin. Inte så mycket kärnighet eller strävhet. Vi drack det till pasta med entrecote, tomat och karl-johan svamp. Mycket bra kombination.

What a great wine for the price. So young but approachable after some air. Lots of nuanced flavours. I understand some of the material comes from the barolo vineyards. Happy to drink this while waiting for the ‘big boys’ to mature.

Great floral nose. Rose petals, lavender. Tar and sour cherries. But hot (alcohol) on the palate. Powdery tannins. Medium finish. Needs a few years to settle down. Great QPR.

Great Langhe Nebbiolo, and might be the best QPR on the market right now!

Here at 5 days slow ox, I'm loving it.

An incredible ~20 wines tasted with incredible knowledge transfer about Vietti (they are badass if you haven't had their wines)- wines, history, style, etc. No notes, impressions only. Speed tasting.
Dark fruits, red and black, medium lite structure, easy drinking, great QPR.

Vietti Langhe Nebiolo 2019 never disappoints me.
Red berries, flowers, light to medium body, pleasant acidity, and less tanin.
Very much enjoyable daily red and a good alrernative to a Regional classe Bourgogne.

Yes, thin, 14% ABV, really? Hmmmm, maybe I got an OFF bottle, but there is no failure in the nose or on the palate,
finally I am not amused, will use the rest for cooking, no rating
