Excellent balance and poise with crisp red fruit, strawberry, lemon, and apricot. Some brioche but not a ton. Rich flavor, with good balance and depth. Truly exceptional and in a great spot right now.
Disgorged July 2019.. This is my 3rd bottle of this Rodez cuvee and I see it becoming a staple of my Champagne cellar. It is yeasty, very vinous and saline. 75% Pinot Noir, a MV with 6 vintages assembled as well as reserve wines. All Ambonnay GC fruit. There is a lot of depth here and it is supremely competent for the table and food pairings. Likely this can age too.

This champagne confirms all the good that I thought of him at the estate. An intense raspberry nose.
Mouth of great intensity on an explosive red fruit but with enormous freshness. Endowed with a great length, this wine is terribly sapid. The finish stretches on red fruits and increases this impression of immediate pleasure.

Dg 2021 I opened this an hour before serving which I think helped it relax a bit, definitely better than the last bottle. salmon pink in colour, still quite aggressively fizzy, some nice Pinot cherry fruit. Would probably work well at the table but good to sip on its own too

Generous mouth. The red fruit explodes in the mouth, it is intense and full of freshness at the same time. The fullness of the wine is eloquent, the score is recited without false notes: generous red fruits, balance, length. Beautiful vinous finish.
Impressed by this rosé.

From a 2020 disgorgement, we drank this over two nights from three different glasses. The Grassl Mineralité was the best choice, closely followed by a tulip glass. Overall a joy to drink, with bright strawberry fruit aromas, but a deeper, darker profile on the palate, as it turned more winey, and less obvious. Night two brought further depth of toasty and yeasty notes, and the fruit stayed bright on the nose. Quite delicious while still fun to drink.

Quite aggressively fizzy on pouring, then soon loses that and you can’t see many more bubbles but can still taste them. The colour is a pale orange, it has some red fruits and also a little orange zest. I’m not totally sold on this, will revisit day 2 to see if there’s any improvement

I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this. Strawberry and nectarine backed with a refreshing squeeze of citrus.
The placement in the meal definitely helped my impression of it a lot. The dry finish and textured bubbles really helped clean up my palate after some heavy appetizers.

Christmas Eve Dinner (Restaurant De Lage Vuursche, Lage Vuursche, NL): Mainly Pinot Noir and a touch of Chardonnay, 100% Ambonnay Grand Cru, rosé de saignée, 80% vinified in oak, 50% or more vin de réserve. Youthful and fresh, citrus, red cherry, strawberry and peach, firm and minerally core, silky and elegant, lovely length with some warmth from the wood.

Now this bottle had previously been frozen, which is how I got it (for free!) and I had previously only tasted it once, about a year ago, but it seemed to have not suffered appreciably from the mistreatment. Lovely mousse with a yeasty nose that could be smelled from arm's length. Lovely apple, bread, and dried strawberry (or something similar) on the nose, confirmed mostly on the palate but the pinot noir character here is significant. This is a wine that could, in my opinion, stand up to some rare red meat, something like lamb chops or prime rib. It is extremely dry and with vibrant acidity. I didn't want to try to put a meal with this since I didn't know the condition of the wine, but this seems to have such massive potential for some really excellent, outside of the box pairings. For $60, this is, at best, something to have as an occasional treat, but a treat is certainly is. Wow, delicious.

Popped and poured on Saturday afternoon. A glass today and some more in coming days.
Wine is a fabulous salmon color. Really one of the prettiest colors in wine I have ever seen. Teeny tiny bubbles.
Not sure when this was bottled. On the nose lots of strawberry, brioche toast, touch of yeasty-malty.
On palate, wine is sound. Similar to nose with a little spice coming out, still red-fruit forward. Good acid balance, long finish.
This is really nice champagne! Not blisteringly complicated or finessed, but great on a nice day.
