Nose: sherry, petroleum, honey, olives Notes: this wine is already showing all sorts of vegetal notes and it's way past its peak. Although it is not quite at an undrinkable stage yet but certain no pleasure is left in this bottle. This bottle is rare to find for the right reason, it simply should not exist anymore. Smooth. Waxy tropical fruit, salinity and honey. Impressive, especially for its age. Still drinking very well, although I would expect some bottle variation at this point. The cork for this was in bad shape but the product inside was just fine.

a pleasant surprise -- i expect this is "bottle to bottle" at this point, but this one was hanging in there and really opened up with a little warmth and air. cork looked disgusting, but the wine came through. surprisingly youthful, with some apricot fruit still there behind some lovely minerality. textbook rhone white for me, with a little extra flint character. long finish.

My last bottle. Drunk with Paul and Ayub. No one guessed Rhone. We were all in Burgundy - mostly 85/6 Meursault. A very truffley, buttery wine. No Rhone oiliness. So much better than previous bottles. This wine rises from the dead.

yellow gold, interesting nose of honey and almonds, pineapple, medium bodied,"oily" impression on the palate; rather full bodied, decent acidity; to be drunk at higher temperature 16 dgr. celsius.
