Community Tasting Notes (33) Avg Score: 90.1 points

  • Very dark red/crimson in color. Quite aromatic on the nose showing lots of baking spices, dark (black) small berries, black plums and graphite/herbs. Palate starts off focused but then gets shuts down hard to reveal a harsh and tannic pinot with candied black small fruits, medium(+) acidity and spice perfumed finish.

  • This bottle was disappointing especially given the most recent tasting notes on it here. Bright, translucent red color. Spicy nose but no discernible fruit. Bright and spicy on the palate but a bit harsh. candied cherry and no complexity. Harsh tannins, overly acidic, out of balance. Finishes long but unpleasant. Your mileage may vary.

  • Consistent with earlier tasting note.
This may be the best release of this label I have tasted, being by far the most vibrant and expressive forward fruits I can remember.

This is not a wimpy wine but powerful, yet smooth and polished, a symphony of concentrated dark berry fruit flavors with layers of black raspberry, black cherry, hints of cranberry, graphite and tones of tobacco leaf, spices of thyme, bay leaf and floral violets with a long lingering tightly wound fine grained tannins on the finish.

  • Similar to the bottle I had a few months back. Red fruit on the nose, the palate was cherry, plum, cranberry and a touch of baking spices. The finish was moderate in length.
