Dark reddish garnet in color, essentially opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe red fruit aromas of blueberries, cherries & mulberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spice notes, herbs & minerals. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, blueberries & plums, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. A lovely & enjoyable Barbera. IMHO, there is no way objectively possible that this is a "65" point wine unless it was an off bottle.

Full bodied, with some tannin character to it. Fun tasting, not exceptionally high acid here. A full year in wood. And it kinda feels like that - apparently the wood is there to get it more tannic and that is indeed what has happened.

Red fruits with a chalky/dusty note. Some more earthy elements showed after airing longer. Good acidity, medium tannin. Medium finish. Not super complex but a fun bottle to drink.

On day two really kinda striking with its richer fruit character and depth.

This is not a good wine. Feels like low quality grape material.
