We had this after we got home from our 6 year anniversary dinner. It had a great bouquet of barnyard, cherry, raspberry and spice aromas. The palate was very smooth and balanced with cherry, raspberry, red currant, spice and dirt flavors. It was dry, very tasty and extremely tart (too much for me) with a long, 50 second finish.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. From aroma to finish, this feels like a pinot that collided with a chocolate bar. It's good and interesting, but is a wine that can't be consumed in large quantities. Save this for a tasting with a large group and appreciate it for what it is. With food, some of the chocolate dissipates.

1999 and 2003 Jadot Burgundies: Chery candy fruit, huge mouthfeel, you can sense the hot conditions, and the silkyness of the wine is evident, quite rich but nothing to back it up. Drink now! No at $57
