  A bit funky nose - balsamic? Apple?
  
  Palate was still full of life - mouth watering acidity. Supposed to be the best of ‘73 Bordeaux. Cannot compare but this was certainly a treat.
  
  Battled against consaillante ‘82 which had the edge for me (but others preferred the Petrus)

  Couldn't believe how good the wine was having come from arguably the worst vintage of the 70s. Deep color. Funky nose. Nice long finish. Very enjoyable.

  Bottle from chateau. Surprisingly full with good balance. Can't compete with the great vintages but very good on its own. 93-94
