Dujac Clos Saint Denis 2011 Nose: red fruits, dark chocolate, raspberry, vanilla, hints of smoke Notes: One can feel that some seductive notes are starting to be formulated and the complexity is certainly present. Nevertheless it's a bit too early to conclude if the wine has great potential or not as I often find Dujac wines a bit of a hit or miss and rather unpredictable. Perhaps it's still way too young even for a lesser vintage? Drink: 2035+ Rating: 90

Very acidic. Somewhat mushroomy. Odd but also electric and precise. Exciting. Intense. Overall I'm not certain about this. Basically I'm overwhelmed by this Dujac tasting.

Opened and decanted. Muted nose but pleasant. Some oak present with fine tannins and with more time this started to be a lot more rounded and delicious. Will certainly do with at least another 10 years in cellar to truly get even better. 93-95 pt potential

Ruby. None of the greenness cited in other notes, although definitely the impact of whole clusters, with a floral and spicy nose of cherry, raspberry, and peony. Midweight, good balance, great length, elegant tannin, outperforming for the vintage. The 2011 Clos St Denis has upside and is best starting 2024.

During a blind tasting dinner. Smokey nose, whole clusters, dense, meaty. Feels young and closed. Given how good mature samples of Dujac CSD are, I would give this more bottle time 93+
