At Restaurant Lafleur, Frankfurt. No formal notes. Dark brickish colour. Dark fruit, blueberry, dried blackberry, light plum and dried dark cherry, saddle leather, light cigar tobacco, complex herbal and medicinal notes, and sage, with fine tannin and very good length. Well-balanced. Drink now.

Double decanted for 30 minutes before drinking as there was a bit of sediment in the bottle. Cork was a bit dodgy.
Colour: Brick red with brownish tinge
Nose: Musk, Allspice, pepper, brambly black fruit, bit of marzipan. Cigar box / leather came to the fore a bit as the night wore on. Ethereal but quite subdued.
Palette: Pepper, black fruit, dark cherries, menthol, musk, pepper, liquorice and spices. Cigar box and leather came to the fore later in the night. Creamy finish.
Tannins and fruit are well integrated.
The wine evolved over quite a few hours as it opened up.
It is still drinking well after 21 years and will probably hold up for a few years more, but not too many.

"The day is the day": TK is turning 29.5 years old (Zurich): Tasted blind: What the Ex Voto had too much, this wine had too little of it. Nose reminded me a bit of beef jerky and a berry mix (?). Tannins are hard and not well integrated. Not my cup of tea. Drink now.

Black fruits, red fruits, spices, some smokiness. Slight spiced sweets on the finish. Slightly austere.
