  • No detailed notes. Very deep color and moderately complex, classicly St. Emilion nose. Ripe and fully mature on the palate with plenty of fruit remaining.

  • Sweet berry nose. Not as complex as I'd hoped. Good with cheese.

  • No detailed notes. The wine was almost opaque purple-red in the glass. It had a soaring spicy nose of mixed Asian spices, mint, camphor, some tar, plums, and hot iron. Nicely integrated on the palate with the fruit still holding the fore and plenty of tannin for the future. To my palate this was just a beautiful St. Emilion. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

  • Remain rather poise after all these years, still share the same profile, quite refined and elegant, a bit tight on the palate! Definitely more open after another eight years of storage, dark ruby in colour, sweet nose of cedarwood, ripe brambly fruits, a touch spicy, super refined in texture, it will continue to evolve over the next decade, will be more open and more charming by then! Well made!

  • This wine was a very pleasant surprise. Decanted about 1 hour and consumed over the following four hours. Deep garnet-red color with little fading at the rim. Beautiful, balanced, generous, and even elegant on the nose with aromas of leather, cedar, plums, coffee, spice all evident and complimenting one another. Full and deep on the palate with ample fruit, beautifully resolved tannins, and a palate-coating richness that I didn't expect. As with the nose, there was class and elegance here. The finish lasted a good 30 seconds. All in all this was a wonderful glass of mature St. Emilion drinking squarely in its window. Purchased as futures and stored in my cellar since release.
