Old-school Neuf, lovely nose of dried Provençal herbs, dusty red fruit leather. Airy, vertical, some mint and tea notes underneath sous bois and garrigue. Soft, smooth and caressing. Yes please.

First bottle from a batch of 8 I bought at the domaine in Neuf. The fruit is fresh and light, very much in the garden variety scale. This is elegant for a Neuf, the fruit is dancing. So young still, very forward. I would wait a few more years before opening the next bottle.

(Clos des Brusquières Châteauneuf-du-Pape) Dark red violet color; appealing dried plum, mulberry and dried tart berry and raspberry nose; tasty, needs a couple years, dried cherry, berry, garrigue and sweet smoke palate; medium-plus finish

Drinking wonderfully right now. Mellow dark fruit with a hint of earth, integrated tannins.
