2023 New Years Eve: This was my wine and meant to be decanted 1+ hours but ended up only about 20 minutes. Nonetheless, it seemed to be drinking very well. There is an elegance and balance to this wine that is impressive, with red to blue fruit. Tannins are silky. This drank like a well-aged traditional wine, it did not have much in common with bordeaux, too polished.

New Years Eve (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red color. Splash decanted and drank a glass over 2 hours. Savory, black raspberry, cassis, juicy, red cherry, dried wood. There's still plenty of tannin, but this a vibrant fruit and is well balanced. Very nice!

Very nice wine that is squarely in my wheelhouse! Still on the fruit side of the spectrum, but tertiary qualities are sharing the stage at this point, i.e., you don't need to search for them.
Mostly red fruit (cherry and red currant) with some cocoa powder and bramble, coupled with some tertiary notes of dried mushroom, old leather and dried herbs. A very nice wine I thoroughly enjoyed! Solid 94 for me! I think this may even pick a point with a longer decant or another year or two of bottle age, but delicious now!

This is good. A real depth of warm fruit, big structure of acidity and grippy tannins that tell you this is not a classed growth Bordeaux. Lacks mid-palate and length for a higher score. Quite long, some complexity. Drinking now and I think it will improve.

One of my favorite bordeaux wines not coming from Bordeaux. Intense and very round after about 1 hour. Perfect to drink now.
