  • This was very nice and elegant and feminine. Floral more than tar and roses. Loved it

  • Let breath in the glass 45 mins…the more air it got the more expressive it got over 3 hours . Purple , expressive nose of bramble berries and mint. Deep raspberries , Bosinberries , spice , mint …integrated rich and complex. Paired perfectly with meatballs and trout !

  • I'm loving the 2005s right now, and the incredibly pretty Brovia Barolo Ca'mia is a perfect example. Dusty rose, balsam herbs, shavings of cedar, dried black cherries and hints of smoke form its compelling bouquet. It's lifted and spry yet potent, saturating with tart raspberry and wild berry fruits, as complementing notes of licorice and spice resonate toward the close. Those gruff Serralunga tannins have finally receded, presenting an impression of graceful elegance as salty minerals mix with a twang of sour citrus and residual acids to create a tactile, tense, yet remarkable fresh finale. Simply stunning, and to think that many collectors passed these up upon release. Buy the producer, not the vintage.

  • Four hour decant, this could decant for 24 hours and continue to benefit. Classic barolo nose of tar, tea and roses, very strong and very enticing. The palate has bright acidity and grippy tannins, which tells me this has many years of aging capability in it still. A wonderful bottle of wine and a reminder of the power of nebbiolo from this region.

  • This is a great example of a Barolo that was made to age gracefully. Fully integrated with little tannins but still bold and beautiful. No need to risk holding much longer unless you are curious to see how much longer this will keep its form.
