For me this is in its early drinking window, just fading at the rim, the nose is starting to show some lovely fruit and a touch of spice, the palate more open and has some inner mouth fragrance. There’s some tannins that could do with resolving a touch more for me, and the aromas could open up a little more with time, and there should be plenty of that ahead

Drunk from 6L at a party, still loads of life ahead of this- perhaps a different story from smaller formats, still a dark colour. Ticks all the boxes for Chianti, cherry, dark strawberry, some tertiary notes beginning to emerge with aeration, dusty fruit profile. Leather and cedar, still very muscular and with a rich dark fruit profile present. A further 6L could easily have been consumed...

Cette bouteille à moins bien traversé les années que la précédente bu il y a 1 mois. Les arômes sont semblables mais un peu plus oxydé et l'ensemble est moins convaincante, quoiqu'il reste appréciable à table et très buvable dans son ensemble.

Le vin dégage un parfum de fleurs séchés, de cerises confites, de bois de santal, avec une pointe d'épices douces. Jolie évolution. La bouche est fondu et bien intégré, c'est souple et presque soyeux. Belle acidité qui garde le tonus, termine sur une moyenne(+) finale, suave et salivante. À la fin de son plateau, s'il vous en reste une, c'est là !

IWS Tuscany, Campania, Basilicata, Marche, Umbria; 1/29/2022-1/30/2022 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas are savoury, meaty, very slight reductive. With agitation boiled meat, beef stock, cherry, tomato leaf, cedar and spice. Medium plus intensity acidity, sour cherry, a little volatility lends freshness, tannins are drying, savoury, meaty and chalky and slightly green. Fruit persists and is joined by a little creaminess on the finish. Hmm
