First impression on the nose was graphite and leather, taking my mind briefly to Bordeaux, but then vanilla and dill put this squarely in California. Rich, big, not shy, and perhaps slightly over-oaked (or under-fruited, as the fruit begins to fade), with some tertiary leather. Dusty tannin, sour cherry, nice acid. Good.

At home with burgers and baked potatoes, making the ordinary a little nicer...
Consistent with prior notes, would say this bottle was a little less ripe, more dry than prior bottles. Dusted cherry, orange zest, oak, herbs and old flowers.
Lost the cork on this one, had to push it through. Enjoyable, well aged, elegant California fruit. Past its prime but still very nice...

At home, before and after we went out to Teresa's for dinner. Consistent with prior notes, this bottle may have been even better. Slightly more fruit in this one after about two hours. it had really opened up and drinking beautifully.
Again, this one surprises to the upside, thought it would have been gone by now...
