Deep red. Aromatic floral nose. Dark cherry, earth, herbaceous, hint of tobacco and toast. Elegant structure. Firm tannins that shows ageing potential, medium long finish. Approachable now.

A gentle red fruit nose with some violet, spice box and leather. No green note which is a good thing. It doesn’t have the usual concentration and depth we expect but it is decent and meant for early drinking. Palate has nice fruits, spicy notes and round with acidity towards the end, keeping the wine fresh and juicy. Tannins are somewhat disjointed and chalky. Already ready to drink after 30 minutes in the glass and I do not suggest you age this wine. If you have a bottle, open and drink it now.

Nice dark red color showing no ageingandno evident tannin crust. Poured into a decanter, the nose shows red fruit and plummy tones, green tobacco and herbs. There is some smoky vanilla oak but it is not overly woody. Quite good sweet merlot fruit on the palate being well balanced and medium bodied. Acid is moderate and light tannins. Pretty good wine from a lesser vintage but lacks complexity and impact on the palate.

Opening with a nice blackberry aroma, it didn't really show any development over time. Being too soft almost dull, the wine felt as if it was diluted, even after 2 hours.

IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Thin nose, with green asparagus and slight Brett. More tart than tannic on the palate - watery and soft palate.
