very Bordeaux-like, with wonderful nose of minerals, earthy, tobacco; finish is a bit bitter on this one compared to the 1992 and 1994; 1992 is a bit smoother but thinner, but 1993 is thicker with more complexity; 92 and 93 are both excellent, but the 1994 wins... all 3 vintages are a great example of how good wines can age far longer than most of us think... this one has plenty of life left
Double blind. Cocoa, licorice, currant, sarsaparilla nose. Sleek polish of expensive new French oak. Modern, but tasteful, big bodied and chocolatey. This tastes like a 15 year old Cali Cab blend from a quality producer.

This was the last of the 12 bottles of this wine I stumbled upon several years ago. Great bottle age, mocha, tar and leather with some briery berries on the finish. You need to remember that his was back when this wine was a single vineyard bottling, not the proprietary wine that it is today.
