Tasted as part of a Marlstone vertical including 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, and 04. Very nice balance on the palate, with a medium nose that was not as bold as the 96 or 97. In this group, I gave it #4.

Drank with 8 yr vertical ('96 through '04 - less the '03). 6th best IMHO. Mild red fruit. light raspberry. Mild tannins and herbs. Light to medium bodied. Others noted caramel, light white plum (if there is such a thing), pepper, blueberry, mushroom, coffee. All notes were supper subtle.

Nice blackberry nose, tannins very soft. Maybe a bit past prime? I like the 2002 best. Overall a nice wine, but not worth $50!

Okay, but nothing special and certainly not worth the $40 I paid for it.
