Tasty red blend Bordeaux made of 83% Cab, 8% Malbec, 7% Merlot, & 2% Petit Verdot grapes. Bright dark fruits. Bold & dry with tamed acidity, well balanced, complex, and silky tannins at the finish. Not sure why the winery decided to no longer produce the "Marlstone" going forward as the last vintage was in 2016. We will miss this wonderful wine.

Moderate amount of red fruit. Ample tannins. I have noted before that this seems a bit thin and this bottle is no different. When I drank this originally, back in the late 90’s and early’00’s this seemed much more fruit forward and layered. This was a CdB flagship. Seems lesser now.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (M&R's): Dark color. Cassis, plum, chocolate and leather notes. Fine-grained and firm tannins with flavors of black fruit and plum. Nice, needs some time. 88+ pts. (J&L)
