PNP. Herbal cherry nose with a bit of earthy funk. Primary palate, rough texture with some saline infused fruit. Very unevolved and in need of a lot of time.

Brought to restaurant and of course couldnt get cork out and didnt have a durand (forgot to bring mine) so was decanted and drank over two hours. Initial earthy/dirt almost bordeaux-!like aromas and some tannins. Blew off over time to reveal some floral/ cherry on the nose and taste and smoothed out. Ready to drink and think quick decant helped. No reason to hold. Excellent wine

Very young. Decanted this once for several hours and then double-decanted again later. Opened up much later, but still young. Beautiful potential here.

Had this wine side-by-side with the 2003 Drouhin Beze. Very interesting contrast. This wine was more savory, intense and tannic...a serious Beze with lots of life left. Plenty of fruit though and very enjoyable with dinner. The Drouhin was lighter-bodied, but also showed as more ripe - a mix of sweet red and black fruits. For me the Drouhin displayed more of the 2003 heat. I think the Faiveley has many years of improvement still ahead.

Possibly a too early infanticide. Did not smell or drink like a burgundy wine. My last bottle 5-10 years later.
