This has unfortunately been a recent/consistent trend for me with late '80s Faiveley (w/ the exception of an awesome '85 Beze a couple years ago).

  Very nice bottle of wine. Started out very well then seemed to oxidize at the 30-40 minute mark, but then it really opened up beautifully. An interesting bottle o have experienced.

  Whilst not much fruit was evident which given the age was not surprising, the wine was very balanced, smooth with quite a long finish. Caramel aromas. Quality wine.
